I'm just 14, so I don't really know about this stuff and I don't have kids. But even I am smart enough to stay away from the man if he would have molested my kids. Get the kids out, NOW! They deserve better.
coming from someone who has been sexually harassed by a family friend and doubted by my mother when I told her, there is NO excuse for this behavior. ABSOLUTELY NONE. you would choose to believe everyone else BUT YOUR DAUGHTER and not do anything about it.. not feeling safe in your own home is the worst feeling ever.

I am beyond appalled and disgusted by this still. To think she not only let him BACK into her home but that she has a daughter the same age Anna was is unforgivable. This goes beyond just ignorance to her being his supporter and possibly facilitating his actions. Where are child protective services. She's admitted she let him around Alana and says here she feels sorry for HIM. I am amazed.

mavie najera I know the feeling, when I was a teenager my mothers boyfriend kept trying to sleep with me he even offered to pay me, he would put porn on right in front of me while making comments about what he wants to do with me. When I finally got the nerve to tell her she didn't believe me and I left that night and moved out. It was the biggest feeling of betrayal and abandonment I've ever felt in my life. I'm now 32 and she's moved on from him and married but still has never once said she believes me. I could never do that to my child.
Mel Lutz Gosh, how horrible of your mother. I am so sorry...not only for your mother's reaction, but also lack of action. Sometimes, I think people throw up that defense because they are in too much denial to admit to themselves that they could involve themselves with someone that horrible. I was sexually abused by my stepfather for 81/2 years. He did similar things to me that Mark did to Anna. My mom didn’t believe me till after the court date but my abuser only got 3 years probation! My mother is still married to him and moved across the country with him and I recently completely cut off all contact with her. I’m going to move soon so she doesn’t even have my address.

This is horrible. I would never doubt my daughter the way she did hers. Her daughter went through a double tragedy. First being molested and then not being believed by her own mother.
I think it is heartbreaking that Mama June is telling her daughter not to talk about what this monster did to her.....just leave the past in the past....and yet, she is bringing the convicted child molester back into her home.....where her daughters are. If he's brave enough to do it once, what's to stop him from doing it again? And then to say she feels SORRY for this monster who violated her daughter? Seriously ?
