After losing hundreds of pounds, and undergoing reality TV’s most shocking transformation, Mama June is gaining back the weight and the pressure is on to keep it off. In an outrageous weight loss competition, Mama and her arch-nemesis, Jennifer are going pound-for-pound at fit camp. But Mama finds herself stressed out when faced with unexpected pregnancy news which intensifies when her boyfriend Geno gets into trouble with the law. Following her surprising debut on “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors,” Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson embarks on her first teenage romance and a new career in showbiz while Pumpkin, Josh, and the cutest baby in the state of Georgia, Ella, are moving out of June’s house and into their own chaos - embroiled in Josh’s get-rich-quick schemes.
At the beginning of "Here's honey boo boo" I never thought Pumpkin would be one of the most mature and responsible adults in Alana's life. This is the same Pumpkin that got struck by lightning.

She has clearly taken charge, and that's a lot for one woman. I have to say I'm glad to see that she has, though. This isn't a situation to joke about. I really do hope they all work things out. Sometimes, it takes real pressure to show who the people capable of leadership are. It can be VERY surprising.
I loved Pumpkin the most. Her introduction with her spinning the recycle bin on her head was hilarious.
I think we are forgetting that Pumpkin is literally only a few years older than Alana, and has had to step up to become her parent! Respect for that girl. June has good kids, hopefully one day she’ll realise it
If she's smart she'd take out large Life Insurance Policies on them all and give it 10 years or so, half of that family will be dead from heart disease, diabetes, or crack cocaine then the problem will work itself out.

I gained HUGE respect for Pumpkin as I watched this last season play out. She's newly married. She's trying to raise her little girl. She's having to deal with her mother's addiction and her health issues and her EXTREMELY toxic and abusive boyfriend.....and now, she's had to become a parent again, to her little sister and protect her as well. That is A LOT of pressure for someone that young to carry. I am super proud of Pumpkin. She's shown great maturity and grace.....ESPECIALLY dealing with that trashy-ass Jennifer and her BS drama. I was very happy to hear a recent update from Pumpkin that Alana IS still living with her and Josh and they are doing well. That's exactly where Alana needs to be right now. She doesn't need to be with Mama June and she DEFINITELY doesn't need to be raised by Jennifer and Sugar Bear.

Pumpkin deserves a standing ovation for stepping in and taking Alana in since her moms house wasn’t safe for her! She’s taken her in getting her to school, feeding her, clothing her, appts, and anything else she needs! Her and her husband are so great for taking another child in full time, especially a teen! ❤️

EXACTLY As long as people keep actually watch these total sh!it shows, they will continue to be on. I can say that about so many other "shows." NO I DO NOT WATCH THEM to increase ratings and keep these shows on. I only got onto this video not to watch it and I didn't (but I hear beeps due to curse words) as I write this. Sister Wives is another of these shows. I watched that show for a couple of seasons; seemed interesting to see how polygamists live but then it started to be totally ridiculous. I can't believe how much $$ they have made and it's because people keep watching them !!! Let them all, the sister wives and the "husband' get regular jobs as well as "Mama June!" DAMN ! This show should be paying for Alana to be in therapy, so she is learning to have a healthy relationship with food, and teaching her self love . Her Dad isnt in her life like that , her mom left her for a man and drugs . I'm praying for this baby girl . Poor thing . This is so awful. Alana has had a mom her whole life so this is just SAD
I can’t help but think it’s partly the shows fault too. All those procedures they wanted her mom to do for the show. That comes with a lot of stress and pain meds.

I wonder if she even has any friends. She was bullied at school and it's probably difficult to find a real friend when you're a celebrity. Clearly she had to grow up way too soon and her life has been so tough. I really feel bad for her. But at least she has Pumpkin.

When he got out of prison for molesting Anna, June started dating him again. Network cancelled the regular show because of that...exposing her daughters (still left living at home) to him. But, then, they got picked back up again, when she started losing all of her weight.
EXACTLY!!! My mom let her ex husband molest me for years (12-14yrs old) and now she’s with a new guy who’s physically abusive. I’m now 17 and have been dealing with an irresponsible woman who chooses men and alcohol over her kids. She’s also very abusive and I wish she would’ve never had kids. :(( it makes me mad when I seen careless “mothers” I hope June gets her shit together because no child should ever have to go through that bs.

agreed. my mom (first gen immigrant) came to the us and started from the bottom knowing little to no english and pulled through her GED. she is so smart now and knows so much (in english and spanish) and i feel like pumpkin should do it too.
If Alana is in high school now, Pumpkin could be studying with her. I know subjects like Math might be hard, but learning along aside Alana or at least refreshing her skills could help her pass the GED.

Lauryn really matured. She got the family back together and made some very sound decisions when it comes to helping Alana and dealing with her mom. Most 21-22 year olds wouldn’t have this kind of insight. She’s breaking the cycle of abuse, drugs and poverty. That is hard to do. Good on her!

Well many things were happening behind scenes still. Anna didn't talk to mama June before "here comes honey boo boo" because her ex partner had sexually abused her and she didn't believe her, she was only on the show because she was promised some money (that was never given to her). I think the show made their situation worst but they were already going through some weird stuff.

June’s on drugs. This isn’t just someone being selfish and abandoning their kids. This is a crack addict doing crack type behavior.
CosmicFrequency some of it is definitely scripted. All these shows are. But the scenarios are real. June is obviously going through addiction but I’m sure the producers are feeding them lines to say in confessionals

Pumpkin and Josh are really stepping up as parents. I give them alot of credit how they are taking care of Alana. Alana is very fortunate that she has a sister and brother-in-law that love her like their own.
Josh is the only sane person in this family along with pumpkin and Alana, especially how josh cares for alana..I feel so bad for this family.
WeTV should just make the show about helping Alana... June is a total waste.
Let's encourage Alana to take her mind off of these bad times by eating healthier and exercising basically let's keep Alana busy

XVl I had weight loss surgery, too. Not as drastic as June’s. The more drastic and swift the results...the harder to deal with the new you it is. For real. For many, the new you is like living in a dream world. Most are sad and not ready to live in their new selves. I think mandatory post-surgical therapy should last indefinitely...

She should never have been given another chance for a reality show after she hooked back up with the guy who molested her daughter when he got out of prison. When the original show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, was cancelled, it was because there was a ton of controversy when Anna revealed Mama June's old boyfriend had molested her when she was a child and Momma June knew this and kept him around. Anna used this information to get money from her mother until the news broke and TLC had to pull the plug on that show. I believe Anna is a single mother now, she hasn't been mentioned in quite a while.
