Hey man, I have a r1t on preorder and have a couple questions for ya. I saw on one of your videos you have a ram, why did you get the rivian when you have an ICE truck and how would you compare the two trucks?
Hello there, In the past, I owned a RAM truck when I had a 5th wheel trailer. However, I've since switched to a 30ft Travel trailer, specifically the 26RBS Open Range model. I used to tow the trailers with my RAM, which had a gas engine (6.4L), but I encountered the need to stop every 150 miles during trips. I even added an air suspension to my RAM which the rivian comes stock with. Now, having transitioned to the R1T, I can confidently say that it pulls my trailer significantly better. The experience is much smoother on the road, and I've noticed a substantial increase in power with the R1T compared to my RAM. This is especially evident when navigating hills, as the R1T maintains its speed without slowing down. There is a minor drawback when towing with the Rivian R1T, though. The range I get is around 90-110 miles, possibly a bit more depending on wind conditions. I'm a bit hesitant to take chances, especially with the charging infrastructure currently relying on the CCS standard. However, I'm optimistic about the future, as Rivian has started adopting the Tesla charging network. After owning the Rivian for two months now, I can confidently say that I'll never go back to an internal combustion engine (ICE) truck. This is, by far, the best truck I've ever had. Additionally, if you're interested in specific videos or content related to my experience, please feel free to let me know your preferences. Bobby
