Bingo Trevor! This flat out worked for me. Tried on the range your drill of rotating lead foot to 12:30 during the backswing and my ball flight immediately dropped and I picked up a good 10 yards on all my clubs. Experimented with the 12:30 lead foot right from set up and keeping it there, results were excellent! I can really go at the ball and hit it solid without that high weak fade that's plagued me for ever.
So great to hear! Use this to create the feel of how the lead hip is internally rotating to the finish and helping to brake/ stop the lower half’s movement so the arms and shoulders rip around the arc! Thanks for sharing and glad this has helped!
Fantastic lesson. This drill helped me understand why I was spinning out with my lead foot. At 55, I’m understanding for the first time all the parts to an efficient, powerful, accurate, and precise swing. After working this drill and one other I shot +1 on the front nine of Grand Ledge Country Club here in Lansing, MI. Thank you for helping me
So glad to hear this drill helps you and congrats on the good round! 👊👊👊 If you ever need anything or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out! TS
The pressure will likely move back to the heel. This is what I like to see out of decelerating the lead side so other areas can speed up. Thanks for the comment and hope this helps!
So good every once in awhile I would catch this feeling but not really understanding what I was doing. So Thanks for the video and the explanation was great.
When something great happens and we don’t know or how we are doing it, that’s scary because we don’t know how to get back into it! Glad to hear this helps and hopefully sheds some light on what that feel is! Thanks for the comment and feedback!
This is great and great timing. Had way too much lateral slide in the DS. Just took this drill and videoed it and is way better. Now just need to work on casting move as I’ve been doing that to make up for the slide.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think a lot of people get weight shift and foot pressure incorrect. If you move laterally and have your lead foot pressed too early at least for me I don't rotate. I think we should think of it as shift the weight into a light lead foot and the lead foot pressing is what gets you around
@@tsgolf yeah it's a rhythm. I think it's also why people don't turn well in the back swing. They plant too hard to prevent swaying. The locking out is why I think people get disconnected. Atleast for me once whichever leg is fully planted is when rotating stops if it's not done correctly. My sequence thought is light on the trail initiate my turn right before the transition is when I feel the trail pressure then it's light in the lead allow everything to collect like a sense of falling or lowering and plant the lead to turn. People don't allow their swings to collect because it doesn't feel fast but that's where the true speed is and where you get the speed whipping to the club head. A lot of peoples g force in their swings never truly reach the club head it's somewhere grip to mid shaft
TS, in your video done together with Eric Cogorno on hip turn, you definitely said the left femur MUST START WITH EXTERNAL rotation 'very very early in the transition' (internal rotation would be bad) - but you don't talk at all about doing any external rotation here in this video. So should we begin with external rotation? And if yes, when exactly does this change to internal rotation? I am really confused.
So as I learn things I also share them! The appearance of the less leg is that is moves into external rotation but where it will actually finish is in internal rotation. Now, if the player has rotated the lead hip internally on the backswing, they will need to rotate it back externally to initiate the downswing. There are a lot of different patterns. This pattern I have made a video on here is for the most stability in the legs in my opinion. If the player has serious mobility issues, getting the lead leg around more can help if you need more rotation to help assist the club and body getting through the ball more. Happy to help anyway I can and feel free to fire questions at me anytime please. Thanks, TS
For me a feel is a stretch of the left side. As in zero slack from lead foot to left shoulder. Excessive external rotation of the femur will not allow the stretch. Again this is just my feel.

Thanks Coach Salzman, simple and concise , so easy to understand . . .
Thank you so much! Really do appreciate the feedback here and comment! 🙏🙏
1st time to hear this. Thx👌
Thanks for the comment and feedback! 👊👊👊
This explains a lot. I’ve seen videos of the back heel of pros moving towards the target. This was impossible for me trying to open my hips.
The pressure will likely move back to the heel. This is what I like to see out of decelerating the lead side so other areas can speed up. Thanks for the comment and hope this helps!
I was working on this yesterday, and found it really helped in chipping also.
That’s awesome to hear! Creates a solid stability platform! Thanks for the comment!

Awesome!!! Great to hear! Let me know how it goes and if you need anything or have any questions! Thanks again for the comment and feedback!

Another great video Trevor. Cheers
Thank you much!!! Hope this helps!
This drill will change your pivot, no doubt. Works wonders!
Thanks my man!!!! 👊👊👊
Exactly I need to do that with my left foot!!! Thank you
Great to hear! Hope this helps and thanks for the comment!
Good explanation.
Thanks so much! I greatly appreciate it!

I couldn’t agree more! The is a big difference is mass and pressure shift! I really like the way you explained it here!

Does this same type of brake exist on the trail side during the backswing?
It does for sure in a way!!! Trail leg doesn’t move as externally as people think!
Like it but some need a flair due to limited flexibility.
Even with flare you can still make this movement happen moving into internal rotation! Keep the foot flare! 👊👊👊
Are those Saucony Jazz Original shoes?
Yup!
Are those Saucony Jazz Original shoes?
That they are! The best!
