Project 51 Odonata at Leepoint Dam

Odonata is the order of Dragonflies including Damselflies and refers to the large teeth-like mandibles of both larva and the adult. The distribution of many species of the over 105 odonata found in the Top End is quite patchy. Recently I had a look at Leepoint Dam constructed to collect and store surface run-off water for irritation. I was interested to see if there are any dragonflies at all at this site and this video covers what I found. I also tried my hand on slow motion video for the first time.
