I learned a ton about Tempest in particular and Ele in general from testing these builds. And the two tempest builds, condi and this one, do build well as a progression. IMO, you can learn a bit easier and be greedier with your survival for soloing and starting this elite in the condi build and then use this build with the auras to advance to a less selfish play mode that's great with allies. You could easily do both on one toon without very little swapping and just a one time investment in a few pieces of gear. As a Tempest tenderfoot, this build wasn't as easy for soloing but it was huge when grouping. My husband, my son and I took this guy out and we knocked out 5 combat hero points--boom, boom, boom, boom, boom--on high level OW maps just as fast as we could hit them. More time traveling than fighting anything. Hubby and son both said they really felt and appreciated the grease I supplied with might and auras. Son was on a renegade dropping some alacrity which was a lovely addition.

I paired this build with a number of different toons but we found it really shined when teamed up with the power herald build from the channel, cattywhompus and I raged through the Lake Doric DRM and afterwards I was like "that was full CM" and she almost didn't beleive me. All the Shocking Aura and boons flwing around were an amazing combo. The alacrity renegade was also pretty amazing but this toon's absolute best pal is the firebrand build I will be dropping in a couple days (how is that for building hype?).

I've been an Ele main for years, but I've always played very conservatively with staff, even after that tragic nerf, because of the classic squishiness. I love high input play, so I couldn't stay away from the fun of attunement swapping no matter the drawbacks, and I was always on the look-out for a build to help me out. I finally gave Celestial a try after watching WP's video, and I've absolutely loved it, but I hadn't seriously thought to try running Water talents in the build, like you've suggested. I gave it a shot (keeping Gale Song on the Tempest track, though, sorry!), and it's been such a wonderful experience! I don't play anywhere near as passively as I used to and the quality of life this build gives you makes Ele finally live up to the fantasy of a chaos-causing mage that packs a punch (and is still standing at the end of the fight, lol). Thank you so much for posting this, and shame on anyone for giving you a hard time over a previous video. Your breakdowns of fun, open world solo builds are patient, coherent, and give players of all levels a chance to try out some new ideas to make GW2 the game for them. You're putting in a lot of hard work, and I hope your channel continues to grow ~ keep it up! ♥
Once end of dragons drops my characters will once again be having a competition to see who wants to be my main through the new content. I've never done an elementalist past level 20 before and who knows maybe this will be it

I'm not the most skilled player, but I understand how satisfying is playing with elementalist. For some reason when a class I so easy, I can't get enough fun, for example with necromancer, guardian and their respective specializations
Mighty Mouse! I've been wanting to try a build like this with celestial gear. I told you before I played almost the same aura share build as you with the earth/water lines and i've also played fresh air tempest. Be fun to combine them both.
