On February 28th, 2022 the nerfbat swung and while this build was hit, it isn't that bad. The F1 Tome refresh changed from 100% to 20% on a kill. But you also regain pages as things die. So soloing a couple of tougher mobs is harder, but swarms are actually easier. Bosses are kinda a drag now.
I just boosted my Core Fireband and used your build to farm the HPs. This is a very timely video since I have the HPs to buy Firebrand plus Willbender now.
Another fast note for 20 February 2022. Fashion Warriors will want to take note that both the Phalanx and Primeval armor skin sets are currently available from the Black Lion Chest Merchant for 30 statuettes each. They've been up for a couple of months so they could be dropped any day now. Get 'em while they're hot.

Is this build viable to solo bounties and champions? Is it enough self-sustain? I’ve seen people run staff as secondary to get more heals off. You think that’s a good option?
Hi, should i use balthazar or traveler rune? I mainly do open world meta and fractal. I'm (not really) new to guild wars 2 and guardian is my first char, because i thought guardian was the paladin class, do the tanking, etc, but i guess not 😂.
Most guide always be showing how they be doing damage but rarely explain the sustaining side like how to stay alive. As a new player, Im a bit confused on how people be taking damage without dying in the video as I always got instant deleted the moment my aegis and dodge roll is down. Healing couldn't keep up for some reason. Whichever I picked. Been spending alot of time in grey screen since I arrived in Verdant Brink. Close to giving up. Would love some tips on how to stay alive.
If you are struggling in HoT.... grab signet of courge on your elite... the passive heal is nice... but verdant brink is a kick in the head for us all.... the best course of action in vb is to take your lumps and play more agressively that you are used to. Kill them before they kill you... avoid pocket raptors. But really dont feel too bad or give up.... Verdant Brink humbles us all at first. It does get easier... I know personally when I first got there I even had to try an easier class than I was playing to get over.
@@MindOverMeta bahaha I do be playing more aggresive than usual after arriving here. Mostly fueled by rage after awhile. Rip my keyboard haha. Aye thanks for the tips :3 Spent 12 hours+ probably last night figuring out how to survive while also checking guides and stuff. I will give that signet a try again :3 I probably did something wrong.
@@MindOverMeta Don't get me wrong, if one does come for PvE side of things, it's welcomed. Because, I think we can all agree, it is long overdue. I would be surprised if one did come though. Necro and FB both have been "broken" for a very long time now. Cheers :)
@@Ham68229 From what has been said, they intend to rebalance Firebrand because right now in group content like fractals, strikes, and raids, if you have a choice between Firebrand and something else, people take the Firebrand because of how stupidly strong they are on DPS or healing while still being able to provide perma quickness along with loads of other options for stability, reflects, aegis, etc. Firebrand will be getting rebalanced so that it doesn't over-perform so heavily compared to everything else. Allowing multiple equivalent builds and options across different professions an equal chance of being used in group content. The balance patch will be in the summer, after they've had a few months to see how the nine new elite specs pan-out alongside the existing ones before rebalancing all the specs in one go.
Going to be honest. Ive tried a couple times over the past 6 monhs to make a power DH work. My results have been uneven. Not sure if it's me or the spec (probably me). It's something I have in the back of my mind but I have tried and come short a few times. With EoD comming I dont see myself trying again soon.
I honestly hope Firebrand gets nerfed somewhat so that I could play it without falling asleep at the keyboard. I love it mechanically, but nothing is more boring than a jack of all trades, master of all...

Fantastic build, way better than the meta ow celestial. It's smoother, easier do to damage and survivable.
I have some trouble understanding all the tome 2 and 3 skills and the way they work together. Do you have a rotation for them I could use ?

As a mention, Anet have stated recently they intend to "tamp down" Firebrand a bit. So expect changes in the summer balance patch. :)
