Hi Judy. It has been so nice sitting and working on a project while listening to you chat about your projects. I’ve been so busy lately so I need to go back and catch up with your episodes but I’m glad I had time to visit with you today my friend. ❤
Thank you so much for stopping by Christie! I was just thinking of you yesterday and wondering how you are doing. Life does get crazy busy at times and can whirl by in a flash. Happy making and happy spring!🦋🐣
Wow, thank you! That means so much to me!! I am so inspired by your designs - the more feminine, the better and you seem to have that dialed in!!💕💕 Judy
❤another great podcast Judy!!!!!🎉🎉 Love ur sweater!!!wow 3 of them!!! Sorry about ur thumb!!!glad it's better!!!! You have alot done!!!! ✅ Elaine 🏠☃️ It's freezing here !!hoping for warmer weather next week!!!!
Your Ran is beautiful I am going to try that yarn. What size needles did you use. Thank you for answering my question love your video first time will subscribe ❤
How kind of you to stop by and to comment, you've made my day brighter!! I used a U.S. needle size 9. My apologies for the delay in answering, my notices were not coming through so I just saw it for the first time today. Have a peaceful weekend!💕
I apologize for the delay. I've been trying so hard to find out information about the KAL. I know it was always hosted by Molly of A Homespun House but when I search for the hashtag on IG, I can only find the KAL for the years 2017-2020 and nothing after that : ( I'm really bummed. I haven't heard back from Molly so I'm going to see if anyone else does something similar or if I could start it up again somehow. Anyway, I do apologize if I got your hopes up prematurely. I was sure it was still a current KAL.
I just found your podcast. I want to make the Ranunculus that looks similar to yours. What size needles did you use? I have. 70% cotton and 30% acrylic. I love the Sea Isle cotton yarn. I have made several sweaters with it and love each one. Looking forward to your videos.
I'm so happy to meet you Maryann! I used US size 9 needles for my Ranunculus in size 2. And yes, that Sea Isle Cotton is amazing. Do you notice if it pills a lot when you wear your sweaters? I'm curious about that. xoxo Judy
@@TheAutumnAcornKnits thank you for the information on the needles. I have not noticed any pilling as of yet. I have two more sweaters I want to make with it so I am definitely hoping no pilling. ❤️
Can you please tell me on average how many grams of yarn is required for the Ranunculus. I would only do the smallest size. As in my stash, I only average 580g of lots of differing yarn. I would only do the smallest size. With your colourwork, just go up one needle size to stop the rippling. If you are feeling stressed your knitting will tighten. Judith fm Sth Australia.
Hi Judith - so nice to hear from you today! I used about 150 g of yarn for size 2 for my latest Ranunculus knit with a US size 9 needle throughout. I actually did go up a needle size but I must knit socks quite tensely!! Thanks again for watching.💜
Hi dear, i wonder what was your stitch gauge for the ranunculus? I am intimidated to knit a second one since my first was way off with the gauge and i wasnt happy with the fit. Thank you
Looks like I might want to make the cardigan. What is the difference with the first one or no. 2? I didn’t see sizing on the 2 but went to first the one and it gave measurements to see what size I would be and bust measurements. Looks cozy.
Thank you Judy! My first Pajama Cardigan is knit bottom up and then seamed at the sides. The second one is knit top down with a built in button band. The sizing should be very similar for both and they are meant to be a bit oversized. I knit my sample in size small so it doesn't have much positive ease on my size medium body. xoxo Judy
@@TheAutumnAcornKnits thank you! I am 41 1/2 underarms and 45 across bust I know it runs big. Should I do the lg not the xl? Just don’t want to make something that is swimming on me. I am short so everything I knit fits so big because of bust size. I think I will try knitting one size down on sweaters anyway.
That must feel so good Noreen! It's a great way to organize. I use paper and pencil for almost everything, including my daily planner. It's just my preferred method. Thank you for stopping by! xoxo Judy
I once had a cat like yours his name was Frodo from the hobbits I believe 💐 I really want to knit a ranunculus I have pattern but as a novice knitter I’m not sure; I need to try and if I need to rip back and keep trying 💐 first time viewer enjoyed this podcast
That's awesome about your cat, love the name! And thank you so much for watching my podcast - that means a lot to me for sure : ) You really must knit a Ranunculus, it's easier than it looks. Do you know what yarn you would use for it?
Its been so lovely to knit this evening with you keeping me company!
awww, I’m so very happy you joined along. I hope you are well!💝

Yesssss!!! Seriously, is there anything quite like wearing handmade socks? I only wish I'd have started knitting socks as a child. 💕💕💕

My gauge (blocked) on US 9 needles was 18 pts + 22 rows per 4". Hope this helps!
