Hi! I just found you and I’m in Northern Virginia! However my husband and I are Nashville natives-born and reared! We just returned home from Nashville last week as we drove down for a family funeral. Of course Nashville isn’t the same town we grew up in! While there I drove over to Haus of Yarn only to find they were open from 10-2 so I missed them! So happy to find you and really enjoy your podcast. Hugs!
So nice to see you back on here. Hope your family is healing and doing better. Glad you took some time off to tend to them. That color of your poppy tee looks amazing on you!! ❤
Hi Hailey, nice to see your podcast, found it just today...highly appreciate a shorter show too and find your choice of projects very cool. 🤗🤩Carolin from Munich, Germany
Just found you and subscribed. You are a delight to watch. I definitely enjoy the shorter vlogs. I don’t have a 2 or 1-1/2 hr to sit and watch a podcast. Thank you. Diane from Boston
So glad to have you back!! I had a chance to visit Haus of Yarn a couple of weeks ago-lucky you that it’s one of your LYS. I’m still on the cusp of knitting the Ranunculus-your comments and mods were very helpful.
I have been there and it is worth a visit. I think they do a tour several times a year. Not a huge Shop but full of good things. The town is lovely as well.@@Knitweekend
I'm new to your videos. I will watch the other five or whatever you have. Great job. I hope others feel safe sharing your feelings and how and why. Thanks so much; I subscribed.
I agree with you that the ranuculus sweater wasn't easy to understand. I also kind of made up my own stitch count to get the fit that I wanted. It was nice to see you again, I love Jill Draper Makes stuff yarn.... beautiful sweater and the texture is lovely.
Thanks Leah! Yes, it took me by surprise how “wordy” the pattern was given how much everyone raves about it. But then I have really enjoyed the finished product. So maybe that’s why…
Just found you in my feed and I loved your episode and can’t wait to catch up on your previous episodes. I sorry to hear you had an I’ll parent. Take care
New to your podcast. Very enjoyable and I like your discussion of your Ranunculus. I’m one of those who hasn’t gotten on the R. Bandwagon, but I would like to. I’m watching this in spring 2024 and looking at summer knits that I can do quickly for a hot summer. Thank you.
Thank you so much Lucile! You should definitely give Mosaic a go. If you want something with pop Andrea Mowery has some mosaic patterns. For something more classic, Moonstruck Knits (who designed the shawl I’m working on) is my favorite!
Hi Hailey! I just found you and I'm so glad I did. Enjoyed hearing about all of your knits. So glad to see another knitter enjoying Holst. I love Holst and have quite a bit of their yarn. I have ordered directly from Holst in Denmark without any difficulty and it comes pretty quickly. Best wishes from a Canadian Podcaster!
Awww… thanks for your sweet support!! I have three cones and I have enjoy dreaming of all the ways I can use them! They feel a bit like my rainy day yarn fund, ya know?! Good to know about ordering direct.
Hi Hailey, new viewer here and I loved your presentation. I've just finished a love note in Drops Belle in a cream colour and it is much like the Ranunculus in construction, with just a little lace. New Subbie xxx
🐣(somehow I thought this egg would be painted, but I can give you this cutie or a fried one 🤷🏼♀️) Okay, the ONLY color work sweater I’ve done is Jennifer Steingass’ Fern & Feather. I knit it in Berroco Pima 100, and I love it! I’m currently test knitting the Petals & Lace by Erika Field, so I’ll let you know if that one surpasses the Fern & Feather. 😊😊😊
So nice to see you here again. I’m glad you had time to spend some of your summer at the beach and I hope you parent ( who was sick) is doing better now. Love your Ranunculus and all the other projects you shared today. 💖
I love the 'garland' effect that you got. With your yarn's good stitch definition, it adds interest. In fact, I prefer it (with this yarn) to Midori's original. I may borrow your 'mistake'. Beautiful projects, Hailey.
I'm new here, exploring different experiences with Ranunculus. I'm just making the Ranunculus in cotton/silk. It would have been useful to know which needle size you used. I'm using 5.5mm (US 9).
How did you get your ranunculus to be not see-through ? Which sized needle and yarn? I want to do fingering but it looks horrid on 10 needles. How do I adjust the size?
Hi Hailey, this is the first time I've watched your podcast, it was great. I like your mellow approach to describing your projects and I look forward to viewing more. I'm a Michigander, from southeast area, where do you vacation? Karol
Hi Karol! So glad you took the time to watch!! We are about 10 miles West of the North end of the Bridge. Near St. Ignace. So a bit further on up the road from you!!!
Here’s a tip for waist shaping. Instead of doing the traditional decreases & increases, try going down one needle size for a few rows at the waist. Nothing to calculate. What size needle did you use for the Ranunculus? What was the yarn weight?

You did great 👍🏼 Nice having you back. Hope your folks are doing well.
I love your purl ridge row modification!
Love the color of your Poppy Tee! 💚
It’s so great, right?! Not what I would normally choose but so glad I went with it!
So nice to see you back on here. Hope your family is healing and doing better. Glad you took some time off to tend to them. That color of your poppy tee looks amazing on you!! ❤

Hi Deb!!!! It’s a sweet place. They are so helpful. I’d say go for it on the Ranunculus. I’ve gotten a ton of wear out of it so far.
Welcome back. I hope all is well. I love Harrisville Designs. About an hour from me in a lovely town for visits and picnics.
Oh how wonderful that it’s nearby!! Have you been? It would be wonderful to visit, especially if they have tours or an open house!

That green t shirt will look fabulous on you. Just found your channel and look forward to seeing more.
Thank you, Doris! I’m glad I took the chance on the green. Hope to see you next time! xo

So happy to see you back! Thanks so much for this episode, it was perfect. Your shawl is amazing!!!
I appreciate you stopping in!! I bound off the shawl last night actually. Now on to 40 tassels. 🙈
Beautiful knits and yarns! I am really wanting to do a mosaic piece and your shawl is spurring me on ! Missed you and hope things are going better.

I love the rainy day yarn fund concept!
Hi!! So glad I met you at the airport the other day! I love your podcast!
Gracias por tener subtítulos en español ❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you so much for joining me, Linda! Something about an off white top for summer is so fresh! I’m sure you will enjoy your Love Note. xo
New viewer. Very enjoyable!
Oh thank goodness I was not the only one with that eyelet issue!! Idk how many times I had to redo those rows....
You are definitely not alone!!! Haha!!

I really hoped there was a colorful Easter egg too, but all eggs count. Fried, Hatching or Nesting. 🤗🤗🤗
Holtsgarn cones are also available in the US at The Yarnery, on line in St Paul. They carry all the Holstgarn products and colors.
So nice to see you here again. I’m glad you had time to spend some of your summer at the beach and I hope you parent ( who was sick) is doing better now. Love your Ranunculus and all the other projects you shared today. 💖
Thank you so much! Yes, the beach was a much needed reset. xo

Hello from San Diego, just found your channel as a recommendation from Fiber Tales
Hi Monique!! Thanks so much for giving my episode a shot. I enjoy Lærke so much too!!
@@Knitweekend hello. Been binge watching your podcast. Enjoying it very much and always learn something new
Thank you! ❤ New sub!
How do you do? I am Ephemera, a fan of Ranunculus, which is why you popped up for me. Very happy to meet you.
Hello Ephemera! Nice to meet you too!! How many have you knit?
I'm new here, exploring different experiences with Ranunculus. I'm just making the Ranunculus in cotton/silk. It would have been useful to know which needle size you used. I'm using 5.5mm (US 9).
How did you get your ranunculus to be not see-through ? Which sized needle and yarn? I want to do fingering but it looks horrid on 10 needles. How do I adjust the size?
I used Dk weight yarn knit at an 18.5 stitch gauge. I don’t recall what needle size I used though.
Hi, first time watching and I enjoyed your knits! I live in the UP of Michigan. Where did you vacation?
Hi! Thanks so watching!! We are about 10 miles west of St Ignace on US2. We love it there so very much. My husband grew up in Munising.
Gorgeous green lacy! I prefer knitting flat! I agree on petite knits. Too expensive and boring knitting.
Here’s a tip for waist shaping. Instead of doing the traditional decreases & increases, try going down one needle size for a few rows at the waist. Nothing to calculate. What size needle did you use for the Ranunculus? What was the yarn weight?
Very interesting!! I hadn’t thought of that!!
