I got caught in the Ranunculus thing too. I've knit around 7 of them so far. All different yarns, different use of the lace, it has been so much fun. It's just the most versatile sweater there is. I love them all.
Yay!! I’m so happy that you made to The Nimble Thimble!! I also love their selection of fabrics and yarn. I absolutely love visiting them, it’s like a second home to me!
@@pammoriarty5176 - I have enough patterns to sink a ship!!. Reluctant to buy anymore. Lol. Good luck with your Ranunculus. Can’t wait to see the FO on Ravelry.
I am doing an EPP project too -thanks to wonderful Kate!-so fun!-using Kaffe Fassett pieces…and finally finishing up a knitted Birds of a Feather shawl…looking forward to starting a new cardigan from Joji L…thanks for your vlog!!
Little Big Knits has been a huge Ranunculus enabler for me! Lol I just knit finished my first Ranunculus….late to the game. What an incredible pattern. I’ve just CO another one. Your Ranunculus is yummy! Really enjoying your quilting adventure too. ☺️🇨🇦
I just love the colour of your ranunculus. I really want to make a second one. I’m thinking olive green but I need to finish some other projects first.
17:27 comment: You could display it in your office by having it framed. It's fun & you loved making it, so it becomes more special if it's properly framed & proudly displayed.
Your quilt is so beautiful. You should try to Quilt your quilt. Even if it is simple quilting. You could use it quicker than sending it out. Maybe Get a ruler to do ruler quilting. You do beautiful work, knitting and quilting etc.
Me, whose internal temperature runs a million degrees and lives somewhere where it barely gets below freezing: I should knit an army of colourwork sweaters
First time here and honestly could not believe how interesting this sweater sounds to be knit. Also, I live 10 minutes away from Nimble Thimble and I love the store. It feels like going into a family's home. By the way, do you know of a knitting group by us? I would love to join. Please get back to me when you have a free moment. Thank you.
I dont like mohair. Do you think this is doable with mulbury silk instead? Or just one yarn that meets gauge? PS I actually am more interested in another Midori pattern first. Tulip Guernsey. I'm late because I was not knitting sweaters until this past fall when I had foot surgery. I have finish 1 baby sweater and am finishing my first one for me soon.
Now I want to cast on a Ranunculus, too 😅💕 it's so beautiful! I also love the Goat colorway by Ito ❤️ (I just was a bit confused about the filter you used for this video. I thought something is wrong with my display setting 😬 Maybe you used it because you wore a black sweater? 🤔)
Doooo iiiiiit! Join #TeamRanunculus 😆 Thanks for letting me know about the video quality. I didn't use a filter, but now I'm thinking the video is underexposed. It was gloomy out, so my craft room was darker than usual (blacks sweater not helping), and so I should have adjusted the settings on my camera to brighten things up. 🤦🏻♀️
Thank you, Dory! 💖 I would love to offer 100% wool in my shop but, in my experience, non-superwash doesn't take acid dye very well. My colorways look faded and off, which is why I've chosen to stick with superwash bases.
Bella looks just like my sweet Mystique! Is Bella also a Norwegian forest cat? Question about the Ranunculus (which is looking gorgeous!) - I started one, but the collar was looking super sloppy so I gave up and restarted doing a Love Note instead haha. Your collar looks nice - did you use smaller needles for the collar instead of the larger size needles the pattern called for? I'd like to retry the Ranunculus after I finish my Love Note because I know it will be beautiful once I figure out how to adjust for a neater collar.
Bella says "Hello, Mystique!" 🐈⬛🖤 She's actually a Tiffany/Chantilly 😁 For the collar, I used a good ole' longtail cast on with a US 8 needle. I switched to a US 10 for the body. I think the recommended cast-ons are more on the stretchy side.
@@Voolenvine Thanks I'll try that!! The directions said to use a 10 for the collar but that was not looking nice for me. Good to know it's stretchy enough on smaller needles! Thanks!

Seven?! 🤯 That's amazing, Sandra! It really is a fun/relaxing process knit.
That LYS might want to become the exclusive stockist of Voolenvine.
I just finished my 1st Ranunculus and my story was similar to yours, I’ve been late to this party and I’m sure I will make another!

Yay! At last! Beautiful! ❤❤
Gosh! I believe I am one of those rare knitters who has not knit up a Ranunculus! Thanks for talking about yours. Love the colour. ❤️
I am also in your club, but I did recently purchase the pattern.

It won’t be anytime soon, but the pattern has lots of good tips for sweater knitting I hear. I need to up my sweater game.

I'd love to see an English paper piecing tutorial from you. I'm not sure why I can't quite grasp it haha. All the best, Kimberly

I'll second that! I've been wanting to knit one ever since I saw her cranking them out 😄
That yarn combo is detailingly delicious. I do love a good opal quality hinting in yarn. I have not knit a Ranunculus. I know, whut.
Lovely video! As someone who doesn’t have a yarn store close by id love if you could do a little shopping vlog of the store near you 😊
I do believe someone is thinking about new sewing machine! Sounds like great little shop.
Rest assured, I'm very content with my current Janome 😄 I'm just excited they're so nearby and happen to service that brand in particular!

I am slightly in shock!! I swore you were knitting ranunculus #2!!! It’s looking fabulous nonetheless!!
Thanks, Selma! 💞 Hah, nope! This is my inaugural version 😆 I can totally see why everyone knits more than one, now 🙌
Bella would get a kick out of Cosmic Creepers' amazing acting in Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

Random question but what is your hair colour? It’s just stunning!

Just wondering.....would you ever consider offering 100% wool or alpaca as one of your bases? Love your Ranunculus.

Thanks, Laurie! I'm knitting the smallest size 😄 #IttyBittieTittyCommittee
