It was obvious from the start the SM2 would be another developer exercise in fake development, i.e. hyperfocus on "balancing" (read: nerfing) before they manage to shit out anything concrete for the player.
Space marine was fun for a bit, but darktide has me in deep, still playing darktide and will continue until grim protocols comes out and beyond, space marine is hard shelved till a update of substance to drag me back for a bit sadly as I wish I could enjoy it more than I do
Even as a beta/day 1 player with 1000 hours in the game im always looking at Auric player builds using something I haven't leveled yet and copying it. The Gimp Shock Maul build was the most creative.
Darktide is the best co-op shooter out right now. It’s on of my favorite games ever. Darktides gameplay is superior and slot more fluid than SM2. Everything from the melee combat to the aesthetics of the game is better.
@@eli2flyLP I cannot agree on the gameplay. Space Marine 2 puts you always in control. Everything else is a skill issue. But Darktide has many features that NEED to be in Space Marine 2
Disagree I feel space marine 2 has superior gameplay. Combat feels glorious and the game itself is stunning, but I guess it just depends what you’re into.
@@ryanmitchell4044 It has superior gameplay. You can tell the skill ceiling in Space Marine 2 is much higher just because how many people gave up on it. But then blame it on the game
I commented on a darktide vs sm2 post saying Sabre needs to meet with Fatshark and take notes. All I got in response was "skill issue, I have no problems you just suck." SM2 seems to have lots of players that don't want to see the game thrive with a few QoL challenges and balances.
This video is not about gameplay. Space Marine 2 has the objectively better gameplay. Much higher skill ceiling. People who mastered Space Marine 2 are walking through lethal like it's not nothing. Darktide is just worse in that regard. But than again, this video isn't about that. Saber needs to learn how to support a game after launch
Never got into Darktide, so this is something cool to me at least, seeing a different game that is connected in the 40K universe. A training area for Space Marines would make so much sense, as their entire lives are dedicated to warfare. The Psyker aspects would work really well for Librarian characters (if they ever come to SM2).
If they remove Hitstop, give bolters real buffs, make dodge cancel the attack animation, rework some trash perks, fix the matchmaking and give PVP some love then this game will be perfect 100%
It's not super obvious, but you can use the tutorial challenges with your multiplayer builds to test them out. It actually makes them tonnes easier if you are high level. In saying that, you can only test your builds within the confines of said challenges without any option to change it to your liking.
I play both games but I play Darktide a load more than Space Marine 2. It's a proper Warhammer game with the mix of grim and comedy. The updats make it even better now.
I wished they could go full Darktide on both vermintide games with the talents and skills. space amrine 2 is fun and all but it lacks a better customization for your characters. I for example wasnt a fulblown Emperors children makeup and a fullblown Space wolves makeup for my characters armor and weapons. like better decorations choices and an facial choices when playing without helmet..... just because.
To be fair . Darktide has a lot of pretty annoying performance and quality of life issues . People constantly disconnect for example. Not because of their internet or console/ Pc , its something they broke in an update. Get a lot of random frame drops and input lag or even no input reaction . Space marine 2 has run very smoothly for me in comparison. Darktide Controller support is also meh , no custom button layouts and dogshit aim assist so you cant keep up with decent PC players Dps wise .
@@requiemagent3014what are the controller option settings for Darktide? Does it have a deadzone for inner and outer zones, an acceleration slider, and an adjustable aim curve? What about the aim assist? How intrusive is it and can you adjust certain aspects like lower the strength and toggle slow down or aim down lock, stuff like that?
@@dat1ytcomment262 You can adjust all this in Darktide for controller besides the last part. I am pretty sure there is no toggle option for that. But the rest is absolutely adjustable
they shall not learn from darktide, i dont want to wait 2 years till the game is in a finished state, and why are the weapons not the same -.- those questions are stupid and just tell us you have no idea of balancing and gameplay concepts.

Bolter effects are why I've never play SM1 or SM2. Find a new way to balance the game instead of under powering weapons.
tbf Bolters in SM1 do more damage than SM2
