Among all games with parries I've played this has the easiest ones by several miles. You can press the button after noticing any movement on the screen and still parry everything because window is so huge that I can manage to go for a tea.

Here from reddit to support a fellow gaming bro. Congrats on your 50, now 56 subs. Keep up the amazing work man! I'm looking forward to checking out your content. If the rest are like this, then I'm in for a good little treat.
@BrentCox2B thank you man! I'm new to editing, so it's definitely been great content to practice on. And I checked out more of your stuff. You have AAA+ videos. I can honestly say, you will are a top tier youtuber, and will be at the top of the creator charts in no time. This is exciting to be apart of the growth so early on.
Amazing video, thanks for the slow motion with actions. I keep telling people that stopping button mashing is the skill gap in this game. I proceed to panic roll away…
Parry reset and multiparrying are new to me And I clear lethal solo with heavy It was such a pain in the ass to be surrounded by gaunts and get stuck doing those impotent bolter swings, i adapted by never even trying to parry a group of chaff and simply firing my heavy bolter / plasma
Hey! I ended up making one for Thousand Sons a couple days ago! The first half of the vid is all the parry timings th-cam.com/video/xzHtsS-fVfg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=yQyeTlLkjgZRvg8o In retrospect the 2nd half of the vid may not be for everyone as the pacing is a bit slower but I think you will find the parrying section useful
Yes but it may lead to him getting hit by the move. Best to stay out of their way. If I am too close to a teamate I will dodge horizontally so there is no way for us to both get hit. Unless there is no time of course.
I will always parry for my brother's when able too. Especially if they not paying attention or busy with another or in an animation when once done they will get hit automatically and not be able to parry. Got to know when and when not to parry
Haha that's what I did too. Pressing C sucks when you have to take a finger off WASD and lose movement for a second. Having the parry button on the same hand as your melee button feels way better.
@@greganto8705 its much better for aim not to press mouse on sides. CTRL is much better option for parry (imho). You can press WASD, you can aim nice and you will use your pinky to parry
Are you pressing and holding the parry button for each parry or tapping it? I've been having trouble with Bladeguard because the timing seems very different. Or maybe it's because I'm using the power fist and the window is smaller than I'm used to with other classes.
Depends on what class you are playing. Were you doing Power fist with Bulwark? I noticed the parry window for Bulwark is kind of finnicky due to the mechanic where you hold parry to hold up the shield. A lot of Bulwark players to me you either have to quickly press the parry button and don't hold it down even a fraction of a second or just double press it every time. Players seem split on that but both seem to work
@@BrentCox2B I'll try double tap. It's not my preferred class, but my assault and heavy were maxed out so I wanted to try something different. Reiver seems pretty easy to parry due to the extra window perk.
A few additional tips specifically about melee weapon styles: First of all, just ignore the numbered stats they tell you absolutely nothing useful. Datamined info shows the numbers are basically just suggestions both on ranged and melee weapons. Two, never get Block type weapons. It literally disables parrying which is most arguably the most important mechanic in this game especially for melee. The TTK (time to kill) advantage is also marginally better so one less heavy strike to kill a Majoris is not worth getting hit multiple times.
the "recovery parry" did not execute early you just came out of the stun and hit parry in that moment. that being said you should almost always double tap parry if you are surrounded by minoris like that. you'll get alot more multiparries. also you should almost always hit parry during your parry animation because it will trigger against blue circles. this is how you get minoris jumps before the blue circle even shows up. which not only give you i frames but gives you an aoe stun effect.
You can, it just doesn't work as well. You can definitely get through Ruthless with Balanced though, but try both out and see how it feels for you. I found the little bit extra damage wasn't worth it for me.
@@BrentCox2B Since i play mostly melee i prefer balance. Parry is already forgiving as it is without fencing(if you play this sorts of games). I agree the extra dmg isnt much but the extra speed (combat knife) makes alot of difference
I dont sure why the game none give you any after a succesfully parry, i only need a half of second to redo things. Alot of shjt keep coming, snipe bullets hit me at exact moment i finish the gun strike, no way to recover from these moments.
Awesome video. Loved the non nonsense approach to what people actually clicked for.
Not sure why you only have 79 subs.. production quality on this vid is through the roof.. gonna have to check out more of your content. Great job.
Thanks for the kind words!
Thanks I've been wanting to learn more about parries and there wasn't anything this good when I searched. Glad that it got put on my feed!

Yeah very generous with the fencing weapons, but I do notice people dying still so never hurts to put some info out there.
I’ve never played a game like this so it’s extremely helpful
@@WalterSobchak91 if you didn't then ya. Very good first parry game btw. No hard timings plus game teaches you to manage multiple enemies at a time.
To be fair, space marines are superhuman, with better reaction times. An it is probably still not truly lore accurate

Haha yeah it's baked into my subconscious too from all those hours in Dark Souls
Good stuff and right down to business. Perfect - cheers!

Well done, I learned alot thanks !
New sub , keep going
Thank you!
You should turn some of these into reels to increase engagement. Maybe do a series of short videos with the specific weapon and enemy in the title.
That's a good idea. I need to set aside some time to get some shorts going for sure
Muchísimas gracias.
Gran trabajo
very good video mate, congrats
Thank you sir!
You can also parry attacks meant for another battlebrother if you’re close by.

@ I always do that when playing with low levels getting pummelled to save them :)

Great video , can you do one with tips for using a controller, tips , settings and parry/dodge
Yeah I can try and do one for parrying & dodging with controller in the future!
Great content, it would be great if you d do an in depth vid about dodging and include chaos :)
Thanks bro! A couple people mentioned they'd be interested to see Chaos so I think I'm gonna get to work on that next
My advice is to keybind parry to mouse 4. Way more comfortable
It must be a polish thing, cause that's one of the first thing I did ;)
@wstewste it just way more intuitive :)
Thanks, I'll give that a try and see how it feels

A video where you can actually get something from will be back on sm2 using what I've just watched 👍
Thanks!!
Also would love to see the chaos enemies parry timing
For sure! I'll get to work on that ! Seems like a couple people are interested

Great info 👍 💯
I'm gonna rock your world: bind parry to mwheelup or down, when you are swarmed, nothing survives except your armor
Lol dang that sounds wild!! I'll have to try that !
Hahaha I want to see a video of this lone SM in a corner cosplaying Sekiro

Do you have one for chaos?
Working on it!
Looking forward to it
I find that the last attack from the Raveners three attack combo is really hard to parry for me.
Yeah that one took me a while to get too. There's a slight delay before the third attack
Chaos do shooting most of the time, i used heavy attack to skip their melee
Yeah they definitely shoot a lot compared to Tyranids
You cant multi parry with balance weaps??
Im used to parry games so i use them for the extra dmg

Only problem is you mixed up hormagaunt and termagaunt. Termagaunts are the shooty minoris while the other one is the stabby minoris.

really nice video!
Thanks!!
Great fucking content man
Thanks brotha!
Gunstrike needs invincibility frames because it will get you killed what more than 4 warriors gang up on you
Yeah the Developers have said they don't want to give it I-Frames but it would be nice. I usually just try to time it so I dont get hit

Yeah it can be difficult. I try to wait to do them until I won't get hit but I still get hit all the time haha
I should call ongbal to play this game because it has parry
I like the content, very informative, but for the love of god stop constantly changing the color grade.
😅 Thanks, yeah I thought of changing it back but didn't end up doing it, but will definitely keep it more uniform for future videos
