Jamie, Your excitement when you pick up the horn is an inspiration to all sax lovers. As usual, today’s presentation shows us what we all hear from you every day. Your rhythm, tone, and mastery of the instrument would make Bird open his eyes and ears. Thanks.👍
Yeah!!! It´s hard to play with a backing track and be consistently good through the whole thing. I find the piano to be "in the way" to be polite about it. But it is a challenge to play good when the band is not interacting! You met the challenge-great Jamie!
Great solo Mr Anderson !!! The best one I've ever heard playing by you on your channel (to my opinion ; but i haven't seen everything) ! Fluidity, simplicity of the ideas chosen then developed and enriched without dragging on, constructed speech, telling a continuous story in the spirit of the "great" era. A great tribute to all our masters who have played it many times and whom we never tire of listening to and from whom you seem to be inspired: M. Davis, W. Shorter, J. Coltrane, D. Gordon, etc... Congratulation ! Thank you for this real moment of sunny freshness on this Sunday, May 16, 2021 JLLC (tenor sax) From Normandy in France PS : sorry for the poor english translation.
Wow great solo! I like how you started out simplistically with spacing and built up to a crescendo of notes and added some outside playing. Really enjoyed it!
Fab, awesome sound. You're the sun in my Sunday mornings. You make it look so easy and the speed of your fingers over the keys is breathtaking. I see you "got your act together" and now have T-Shirts. Fantastic. Will be ordering today.
Eres muy grande Jamie, un placer verte y sobretodo escucharte tocar el saxo, gran sonido y perfecta ejecución, aprendemos mucho de ti, enhorabuena y muchas gracias!!!

WowZer! Jamie! That was spectacular! Going to watch this several times. Would love an analysis of what you played. That would be a class or course on its own. Love your selection of notes over the backing track, your spacing between phrases and your great funky rhythms. And your passion! Thank you for sharing. 🎷🎶🥰
My first introduction to Green Dolphin Street was a blue book that I'm pretty sure is no longer in print of Cannonball Adderley inspired improvisations showing the original melody on one line and improvisions along with chords. The keyboard part was absolutely eye-opening to me at the time. Anyway, you're interpretation brought back some wonderful memories and some hint of Julian inspired lines. Always enjoy your stuff! Thanks for sharing!!!
There needs to be an award for what you’ve done over the past many months!! Brilliant, inspiring, you name it. If the future is anything like these past months (with your help), lots to look forward to!!
