- My love for character animation has been re-kindled by this character rigging plugin.
I've been committed to the Adobe Animate software for a long time. I'm deeply invested in this tool. The few things it does, it does them very well. But the character rigging toolset is far behind the industry standard. Software like ToonBoom, Moho Anime Studio, Spine2D, and the DUIK feature set in After Effects runs rings around the bone system in Adobe Flash/Animate. It's truly disappointing!

Electric Dog has developed a character rigging toolset promises to catch Adobe Animate up to current and possibly set a new standard of 2D character rigging. I can't fully describe how excited I am about the possibilities of this new toolset but in this short video, I'll try.

BRO i just want to thank you so much for putting me on to this. You just made my life SOOO much easier. Tweening was really really starting to piss me off and while i do enjoy frame by frame animation i just don't have the time for drawing out every individual frame. This has helped BIG TIME. THANKS A LOT BRO.
Hello, I want to answer instead of admin, I am happy that you are so happy, but animations made with only rigging do not add naturalness and become very robotic. he is so attentive to keeping rigging assistance minimal.

1:48 is an advanced ToonBoom rig. 2:14 is a DUIK rig in After Effects. Those setups are so cool!

Hi, I dont know why youare the only one I can seem to find talking about EDAP tools on youtube.... I am an animator who is currently learning both MOHO 13 and Adobe Ainmate from scratch... Do you know if EDAP tools make a good competition for MOHOs robust rigging system? If that was the case I would simply tick to Animate as I love the drawing tools and interface much more. I am also an Adobe guy who knows after effects
MOHO looks absolutely amazing. The next version of the EDAP plugin will have some amazing features. I don't know if it will come close to what MOHO currently does, but AnimateCC + plugins will allow you to create hand drawn keys and puppet animation more easily. Each tool has it's strengths and weaknesses. If you've invested in the AnimateCC workflow, then there's a LOT to get excited about with EDAP's tool.
@@lawjackson7376 @geoi88i Regarding Moho, be cautious (I bought it a few months ago and somewhat regret that decision). Since the release of 13 (and one minor update shortly after that), there have been no updates and SmithMicro might want to sell it, not investing in its development any further, as discussed in the forum: www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=33439
In other words, at the moment Moho's future is somewhat unknown. I like the software a lot, it is simple to use, but have had lots of glitches with their newest release and will probably switch to Adobe for that reason. I cannot run the stable Moho 12.5 (which apparently is still loved by many Moho users) as my OS version is too recent.

"Moho 2D animation software has been acquired by Lost Marble LLC, the company founded by Mike Clifton (the original creator of Moho), and Victor Paredes (supervisor of Moho animation at Cartoon Saloon and former Moho product manager)." -- expect more good news to come...

Whats the difference with using this and animates parenting process?
I used both and I can say that the difference is that the tool still makes open rigs and you have to do the rigging all by yourself but with magent rig it parents all the layers and also make the rigging much easier
