Is the water too cold for them in Brevard county?

@silkmothspinnery we are still getting them in Brevard county. Just got on another bite the other day and will be posting that video soon. I think the school is headed south, but the bite here doesn’t seem to slow down until later in the season when they head north!

I was catching some pompano yesterday down on Hutchinson island. Fishbites + shrimp

Awesome!! Sounds like they are starting to make it down south. Good to know on the shrimp, might try mixing that into the spread on the next trip!

I fish the beach by Sebastian inlet and it's been quiet. Maybe a shark, catfish and bluefish. I did manage on Friday morning to catch my first 29" permit even though he was over slot. Very exciting and took me about 10 minutes to reel him in. Hopefully the pompano will arrive soon. Thanks for the video!!!

Wow, 29 inch Permit is awesome, what a great trophy catch!!! I’ve been wondering how it’s been near the inlet, thanks for the report, I hope the action picks up soon. Seems like the water temp is getting close to the upper end of the range for pompano, but I agree haven’t seen the big schools yet. What did the Permit hit on? I’ve got some frozen crab, maybe I should give that a try!
