I’m catching up on your old videos but had to see this one. Went to port Canaveral and nothing was biting . I had squid , shrimp and mullet… guys next to had 6 rods with live mullet and shrimp and on other side was sand fleas with shrimp .. absolutely nothing .. great stuff man and great day for you.. and yeah it’s damn cold
Awesome job guys! That looked like so much fun! I'll be contacting Mr. Hoover when I am set to come down there. Hoping for the Fall, but most likely next Spring. Gotta save up the $$$ so I can have a fantastic time and not worry about anything. Gonna pick up some Ninja Surf and Bummy Sticks along with the reels I need. Already picked up 2 Spinfishers. In the mean time I'll binge watch your stuff and learn as much as possible. Thanks Justin!
Thanks! Let me know when your in the area and maybe we can link up if I have some free time. Sounds like you'll be getting some quality gear! Thanks again and enjoy your day.
The golden Black Drum means they are eating a lot of crustaceans. If you ever keep one to eat those are the ones. Super sweet filets. You are what you eat. I really enjoyed this video. Reminds me of when I was in College and made weekend excursions to the Gulf to relax.
I can tell your on the Gulf of America just by the sand. I used to catch a pile of Whiting 10 ft from shore in cold weather over on the west coast. Squeaky Sand..
Hey... Angler Up with Brant would not even Surf Fish in this cold... YOU DID! Well done! I was wondering how the Bite would be in this cold.... Maybe it is time to switch to Justin Reed.. 👍
There are some good budget rod options on Amazon. Fiblink and Beach Runner rods. Another good one are Star Rods. Pair those with a Penn 5000 size Reel and you'll be set!
Love watching someone who truly has a joy for fishing. Tight lines Justin!
Hard not to enjoy it! Tight lines 🤘
Gotta admire your dedication. Glad it paid off. Very nice!
Can't catch them at the house. Lot of cold no action days but days like this make it worth it! Hope you are going well Scott.
Nice "Big Ugly" day! Thanks for the video and for sharing your fishing trip and your thoughts and ideas with us.
Thanks! Happy to share. Tight lines!
Those Drum didnt care at all about the cold weather! awesome video!
They love the cold! Thanks!
I love catch and release. It helps preserve the species.
Absolutely!
Awesome! First comment. Stay warm down there man, we're used to that up here in Jersey.
Thanks! I'm mostly used to the heat 🤣

For sure! Those big fish love the cold water.
I’m out here now , by the pier there is a dredge going and the water on the surf is murky . Where was this video taken based on where the pier is ?
This was in Pensacola

Please tell me what kind of gloves you got thanks
I believe they are from Home Depot. Work gloves.
What weight triangle sinkers are you using on your pomano rigs with 20# BH leaders? Is 4 oz doable?
I throw 4oz on 20lb big game all the time without issues. Thanks for watching and tight lines!
Were you catching all Pomano ?
Just Black Drum on this video.
Good job. Where was it exactly ?
Pensacola Beach Florida
What beach are you fishing
Pensacola Beach
What would you recommend for a ~$200 surf rod and reel. I’m just starting out and looking to get a few surf rods
Penn Battle IV combo. 10’ rod, 8000 series reel. Will run you $199.99 plus tax.
There are some good budget rod options on Amazon. Fiblink and Beach Runner rods. Another good one are Star Rods. Pair those with a Penn 5000 size Reel and you'll be set!
i just hit up frisky fins!

Thanks! It is Pensacola Beach.
Nice fish.
Hate to see you drag thier eye on the sand.
Are you joking? Florida does not experience freezing temperatures. 50F or 10C Minimum is definitely not freezing. 😅😂
Its been getting cold in North Florida. We just had 8 inches of snow!
From the Panhandle and we've had freezing temps in the high 20s
17F in Destin with 8 inches snow
