    Great Video! Thanks for this! I always wondered how to do this.
    Quick questions:
    1. When you’re switching your sounds in the VsT, can you use the same midi channel or do you just change the sound and then record into the MPC to build your track??
    2. From your experience, when you use this method of using VSTs as your sound module, How many audio tracks can you record into the MPC before the standalone states that system memory is low? What’s an advisable set of tracks can you record audio into the MPC? Have you recorded at least 6 audio tracks with no issue?
    3. Lastly, do you have to do the same Midi preferences set up for every VST that you use as a sound module in this method you showed in this video? If I used VsTs within a DAW, can I set up the daw via midi and then use the daw VSTs as a sound module?
    Any information would be appreciated. Thanks again for this video

      1. I record the Midi/ Audio into the MPC and build the track that way, only because I know I would have to record it into the MPC anyway.
      2. You can record 8 full audio total tracks, but you can record as many as the MPC can handle. The audio tracks basically become samples that you can trigger via midi.
      3.In regards to VTS’s being used in standalone mode yes, just change the audio midi settings to the midi interface you use. Using the MPC with a DAW, I’ve always used the MPC in controller mode as a Plugin. It is easier to control both together that way.

    Now that the MPC Live can send and receive midi over the USB ports, can you just hook up a USB on MPC Live directly to a computer? Im wanting to control Massive from standalone , I hate the MPC software on the computer.

    • @WeFullTime
      @WeFullTime  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great Question! Yes you can, create a Midi Track, then change the Midi Port to Remote on the MPC. Most importantly turn on your WIFI and Make sure you have Akai MIDI Network as the Active Midi Input on your VST (Massive). Then you should be good to go.

    I get clicks at the beginning of my looptrack. Like its recording the midi to audio to fast.. does this have something to do with the reverb tail at the end of the loop.. i got record 5 bars instead of 4 and then cut it to 4 bars.. but the start points sometimes stay clicky or loud. Even if my midi track is good..

  • @comedycamping4692

    Awesome video mate very well explained. If you play live do you take your computer with you and use it as a module or do you just sample your riffs in to the mpc and fire it off with a pad. I have been using this method for a while but when playing live it leaves you with not much to do. I’m still getting my head around the mpc. But would like some ideas on playing live without just pressing play. Lol I can’t finger drum so that’s a no go.

    • @WeFullTime

  • @NoQualmsTheArtist

    I wouldn't turn the output all the way up like you did. If it is clipping on the way out, turning it down on the MPC won't help, you will still be recording a distorted signal. Otherwise good video.

    • @WeFullTime
      @WeFullTime  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Master Gain level's are controlled with the plugin, that way it doesn't clip the converters for the interface.
