    Thank u brother this was amazing and I really appreciate what you have done, u went way above and beyond with this video and it has really helped me. I now have to take a afternoon to map my midi notes out for my MPC X. One more question I know you said the pads change in certain DMD programs but do the Midi control notes that you manually put in always stay the same? Again thank U brother for this knowledge because I was willing to pay for it and I'm still interested in some of your logic courses and MPC hardware courses if your offering that. I have paid a lot of money for my hardware and software and have been trying to learn it for over a year without help and I just want to get the most out of it all. MUCH RESPECT BRO!!!!!!

    • @NoiZReduction
      @NoiZReduction  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Gameboy 80 No problem, glad I could help. So the MIDI mapping that you put in does not always stay the same. It will go back to the default mapping when you restart your MPC. This is why I suggested saving a project template in Logic after you complete your mapping. This will allow you to open that template which will have your custom mapping when you are ready to work. There will be full length courses for both Logic, MPC and more available on my web site NoiZreduction.com in the future. I’m currently working on a full length Logic 10.5 course. Stay tuned! Thanks again for watching! 👊🏽

    Peace to the brother! I havent even reached the end of the video and already you helped solve major work flow issues. I knew how I wanted the MPC to perform in conjunction with logic but didnt know if the hardware/software would communicate is such manner but you have found the innermost workings of the mpc and logic once again and for that I am grateful brother. You are a asset to the community, I appreciate you big bro.

I mostly use my MPC in standalone mode and I was trying to figure out a way to incorporate what I've learned so far on the MPC into a good workflow using Logic pro as well. I'm a beginner to Logic Pro but have bought the program years ago. The workflow you detailed is a game changer for me. Time to get my Logic Pro chops up now. Thanks.

    outstanding. I came here to figure out how to use the MPC software as a plug in but trigger it from the MPC pads. Thought it was really weird that the actual notes weren't being recorded in Logic itself. Oddly enough; I have another USB keyboard plugged in and it works simultaneously just fine. I use that when I'm playing an instrument patch as opposed to a drum patch. The USB keyboard also triggers the notes in MPC software AND get recorded into Logic. It's easy enough to program the midi notes. THANK YOU!!!!!!

    Great video, to be honest, it was the only one I've found that addresses this workflow! ...Which I can't even believe, I would think that almost everyone that uses Logic would want to use Logic as the sequencer. It's just so so much better...when you have analog instruments like guitars and live drums, having the ability to edit midi notes right along side of audio is an absolute must!
    At first when opening up the MPC software in Logic, I just assumed it was just going to work this way the same as the Komplete Kontrol works right out of the box. I can't believe Akai doesn't address this and just make it work....JUST MAKE IT WORK! Anyway, it's just frustrating when you just want to make music and you end up being a computer programmer, and by the time you figure all this stuff out the inspiration is so gone....so gone!
    Again, I want to say thanks bro, you rule!
    P.S. NoiZReduction is a badass name!!!

    Yes! It is something I can use to make my own drum beats because I've gotten tired of some of the drum loops lol when I hear a drum loop I hear more can be added to it but I would have to manually make a new track for it. So thank you for sharing this editorial. However, I do have one quick question to ask you. My question is how do you set up the MPC X Standalone to a mixing board?
    I know every mixing board setup may be setup differently. I have the Presonus Studiolive 32s iii series mixing board and I'm trying to figure out how to connect the MPC X Standalone to my mixing board. My mixing board is also a midi interface that controls my Pro Logic DAW. So if anyone has that kind of hookup please reply back, I would greatly appreciate the help and the feedback I get from the NoiZrReduction community, and as always happy recording everyone. I wish you great success in your music ventures. It would also be nice to see a video tutorial on this subject. I just know it would get a lot of views because there are so many home studio producers going through the same kind of challenges and issues I am having lol. So again thanks for sharing this information and instructions.

    AllI can say is WOW. You are the man. Thanks for the Tutorial. Question will this technique work with Logics, new step sequencer, using the Mpc pads as input notes in logics step sequencer? Thanks in advance.

    Hey man, great video. Can you make one explaining how to configure it in Ableton Live?

    It would of been really nice if you added your template for download, but very fruitful information.

      TheSupasamio I literally gave you the whole workflow.. all you have to do is watch the video, follow along and then save it and you will have you’re own template.
