      Thanks, it's really nice to have someone (Hell, ANYONE!) to actually say something nice and supportive. But I've got to say I am probably about to give up, I've tried a couple different approaches to my channel. This last Attempt I've have been doing somewhat better view wise but nomatter what I say or do not say during my videos NOONE subs!.. it's mind numbingly frustrating!.. Anyway thanks again for the support!..

      Hey man, I think you are not succeeding b/c of what your channel is about... if you click my “tz” Icon it will take you to my vlog channel where I have spent the last two and a half years making videos about my life... and over two years later, only 80 or so subs. It’s b/c people don’t care about you when they come to your channel. Heck people don’t care about me when they come to my channel.
      So anyways, I started another channel. And that one is doing better.
      You have to think about consistent value delivered in a clear and precise way. When I go to your about page on your channel, it says something like “videos about my life and sometimes about a different angle on particular things in life” well... what am I going to get???
      Humans are selfish by nature, so maybe think about totally changing what your channel is about.
      Are you going to teach me about soccer??? Am I going to learn about politics?
      Stuff like that, and if you are like me... it may take starting with a fresh new channel in order to truly start from the beginning.
      And quick tip, when you are small it is tempting to try and speak to anyone. But instead make a channel where at most 1 out of 4 people would even care. The more specific the better 👍👍👍 you got this!!!!
      And if you really want clarity, pray about it. Jesus has more thoughts for you and your welfare than stars in the sky, or sands on the seashore. If TH-cam is a part of that plan, than you couldn’t stop your TH-cam channel being blessed even if you wanted to 👍👍👍
      Love ya brother 👊👊👊

      I’m trying to pull together some funds for a start up setup. I’m a 9th grade English teacher and I know why they’re not as engaged with me; if I wasn’t paying for grad school out of pocket, I’d have upgraded to a multicam streaming setup with the atem mini. I’ll be finished with my MEd in May thankfully.

    I use an a6300 with sigma 18-35 1.8 as my main cam, a6500 with Sigma 16mm 1.4 as my nice secondary camera, both on Elgato Cards (HD60s and Camlink), and then a c922x facing downward for my bench, and 2 go pros (Hero 4 and 5) hooked up through those 25 dollar usb 2.0 capture cards. I have softbox in front, a few screens for monitoring SLOBS, my desktop and anything I'm sharing on screen, as well as one monitor for chat. For Audio I use the GoXLR mini with an ATR 2035 (or Wireless Go if I'll be walking around a bunch), and lastly the Streamdeck to swap all the views and stuff. I got the majority of this last year, and then went hard with lives during Covid to smash through about 100 hours of online course recording. Been a crazy ride.

    Pretty sure the Canon webcam utility was out when you uploaded this. I've used the M50 straight into PC with it. Works great albeit lower output resolution. Hard pass on the Rode Videomic Go. If you have LED lights nearby or too much WiFi interference that mic pics it up. It also won't dual purpose as a vlogging mic because the wind muff does nothing on the backside of the mic. They didn't do much to shield it from interference. Rode Videomicro or Deity's new D4 Duo is the way to go for the price.

    So my Setup is quite simple, but it works well. I do a dual angle Setup. I got a Logitech C920 for a Top Angle and a Canon Vixia HR800 with ElGato CamLink. An Audio Technica AT2020 with a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. I'll get that dummy battery to test out a Sony Alpha a6000. I use OBS instead of Streamyard.

    Omar with the flick of the wrist. 👊😂 That IKEA SKÅDIS Pegboard with the clamped lighting - good idea. I have two of those pegboards situated near my desk. I bought the IKEA NÄVLINGE Spotlight and wall-clamped it. It does it's job. Have you guys made a video about the best live-streaming software to use yet? I was hoping you'd discuss it in this video. I've been wanting to get a Pat Flynn's Switchpod, but I have been trying to keep myself from too much gear. Already got few tripods and gimbals already that can be used for this setup. The Canon EOS M50 is my daily driver and I can just use the EOS Webcam Utility software.

    • @nancyruthless
      @nancyruthless 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Very good ideas. I agree with Teem Zeal about the iPhone as camera topic. Many of us who are now live streaming daily due to COVID were pushed into this work from home situation with hardly any notice. Many of my coworkers didn’t even have home offices at all and had to try to quickly get supplemental equipment. So a nice Sony camera is a bit beyond the budget, at least initially, and webcams have been really hard to find. My work laptop camera is not great, so I finally figured out how to use my iPhone with the EpicCam app. It’s a little clumsy. Curious if there are better solutions with a smart phone.

    This was super useful and not just for livestreaming. I definitely need to invest in a better lighting setup and a softbox for my LED light will help. Hopefully the soft lighting will improve the look of my videos.

    So I’m relatively new to posting videos on TH-cam - but I always ask myself - if people are within 2-3 feet of their camera - why would you use a lapel mic (which is usually cheaper) vs a shotgun mic?

    • @ThinkMediaTV
      @ThinkMediaTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      arms length distance from a camera you can get away with a mic on top of the camera - people prefer the lapel because its a one time buy for more use cases.

    I think you forget to talk about audio monitoring. How the wireless airpods work to hear everyone else in the conference? What if I'm teaching far away from the computer. I need a wireless mic like the Rode Wireless Go but how can I hear my students? I can't just plug an speakers because the audio feedback, so, what would be my choices? Thanks!

    Could you advise on a setup to record/stream a piano from top above? The main issue seems to be the stand.
    TY

      Yes. It creates a more beautiful scene, therefore being described in the camera space as "crispy" "tasty" or "spicy"

    What is the best program to use for a video conference call other than zoom ? What do you guys use when you go live with multiple people from Think Media ?

    Should that camera be directly on top of the monitor instead of on the side ? This way when your eyes are looking at the monitor they are also looking at the lens.

    When you record TH-cam videos, is there any benefit to recording to the camera internally vs recording to your PC via Camlink 4k (or similar)? Is the camera's internal recording better quality in any way?
