  • IPMDC Care Partners Meeting: Jan 2024: How can care partners help people with Parkinson’s manage LOW BLOOD PRESSURE when standing up after sitting or lying down?
People with Parkinson's may experience lightheadedness, dizziness, or weakness when standing up after sitting or lying down, a phenomenon known as orthostatic hypotension (OH). To manage these episodes, it is important to understand the warning signs and take steps to address them, including implementing some non-pharmacological strategies.
Join Parkinson’s specialists Josefa Domingos, Nancy Hillmer, and John Dean for a discussion about some of the early warning signs of low blood pressure caused by orthostatic hypotension and how to address it.
Hosted in partnership with the Inova Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Center
