Hell yeah, that sounds about right, the show I went to, there where families with kids in the crowd lol like 2 and 1 year olds in baby carriers with ear protection lmao. What a cool group of people. Slug is using the long line of fans as an analogy for life. Ant walking right behind him, picking some stuff up, leaving some behind, always walking, always observing. It’s life. Sean Daley is a deep man.
@@SunnyvaleTrailerParkSupervisorI think he means that he has big dreams of changing the world but he realizes that realistically his impact will be very very small on history and the world so he "settles for selling his soul to the land of the free". I think the whole point of this song is that we should count our blessings and try to improve the lives of those that we care about. Count your blessings and stop trying to change the world because one man can't really do it despite what Hollywood sells us. Especially because the game is rigged to keep us where we are.

By far my favorite Atmosphere song to date. I can not stop listening to this song on a daily basis and rapping along with Slug every single word. These lyrics speak bounds further than i've ever known lyrics to push themselves. It's truly amazing and touching. In 2013/14 when I had 100k hot hits on my writing, with 750k google+ hits there facing homelessness sitting on a park bench under a tent in downtown SD under a winter shelter tent swallowing dimes of amphetamines to stay focused with a newborn baby and dreams in the midst of motherly passions, Atmosphere wrote a song to me. It spoke of my lust, a premie with a cardiac monitor, lines from cosmik comedy, stand up recovery drama sarcasm, and hope. Though he filled it with hope, they never reached my ears til ghetto hustle had drowned them in despair. To this day I am thankful straight prose dedicated to me has reached straight on to my love of art. Thank you. Ant, Slug. Thank you. J.E. Ayers Brooks
They had about two white posters saying this was a music video shoot and if we didn't want to be filmed while we were in line, to please let them know. Then the people handing Slug and Ant the things had to sign individual waivers. We went through the entire video about 8 times. chaosinorderrr Rocco Dipoppa
I cut a square with ant in 2008ish at lupos. Noone knew who he was. This is when life gives you lemons was out. We actually had no tickets but we greased the doors with money just to see atmosphere. My best friend died a year later from cancer. That night was supposed to happen. I love you both..... I asked ant whats your favorite track on the new album. He said you. I asked what was slugs? He said me
Saw them for the first time a couple weeks ago and he came out to talk to people. Pretty cool! I just got into this group about a year ago and im kicking myself for being so late for the party. But seeing them live was awesome!
Rumour has it one time Oloff was sat next to Jar Jar Binks on a flight. Jar Jar kept kicking the chair in front of him and generally being obnoxious, nobody knew what to do. Eventually one of the flight attendants came over and asked Oloff if he would perform one of his songs to calm Jar Jar down, and when Oloff began rapping the first verse to Doing It Stealthy, Jar Jar immediately relaxed. To this day the two are still close friends.
@Thomas Pynchon even when he's completely not serious he managed to pull off this intense sense of wisdom...I'm like one of the only people in my group of friends you haven't seen him live so as soon as did Us in Kenyan government figure out their problems and stop being butthurt with each other I'm going to the next closest show
@Thomas Pynchon wow man.. Like seriously. Is this 2012 Reddit grammer police. I apologize for making a post outside and can barely see my screen. I just have to say man honestly, I'm fairly certain if Slug read that he wouldn't want you fucking listening to his music dude. taking the time out of your day to make fun of me as if it would actually insult me is pitiful Now I understand that might be a bit arrogant of me to assume what another man thinks, but ,being a musician myself I certainly wouldn't want a troglodyte pissant who has nothing better to do with his time but mock people online for grammatical errors when knowing nothing about the person.. I can form sentences just fine man. in fact, I daresay I could write better than you, however I don't think I'm better than anybody nor do I think anybody is better than anyone. go ahead and laugh it up with your friends over my response to your comment but just know that it was stupid , and no man that I'm not hating on you I just want you to be better for the next person that you might hurt. Check yourself.. spread love and stop puttin people down. bro

Haha I love it!! Fuckin Ant. The dude is so mysterious it seems. I don't I've ever once heard him talk, and I tried to research him but found little information. I think the thing that really tickles me the most is that he always looks so classy. Not once have I seen him in videos/performances without dress shoes, and dress pants and slicked hair. Like, just about anyone who's in a Hip-Hop group at least looks a tiny bit like they "like" Hip-Hop, I know that sounds ignorant, but it was the only way I could describe what I'm trying to say. And I think that's why I like him so much, aside from his amazing production skills. He's just doin his own thing and it's awesome. I've just never seen that before in Hip-Hop haha. He kind of reminds me (his looks) of the guy who played the lead role in the movie "The Iceman". Also, is there any track where he's rapped??
You can ways find Ant hanging out before and after the shows. I've probably seen and shook his hand 3 or 4 times. Talked with him a couple other times. Super nice, super cool, actually listens to you when you tell him how much the music means to you and responds in kind.

Being there while they filmed this was amazing.
I was there too. Lol.
Were u guys briefed about the video shoot beforehand or was it spontaneous?
chaosinorderrr i'm curious too!
They had about two white posters saying this was a music video shoot and if we didn't want to be filmed while we were in line, to please let them know. Then the people handing Slug and Ant the things had to sign individual waivers. We went through the entire video about 8 times. chaosinorderrr Rocco Dipoppa
James Perez so, half spontaneous, if I understood well! cool! thanks, James! ^^
He said me
His reaction to the guy in the polar bear mask is awesome
Hamwick yup lol
I was wondering if he was on mushrooms because that's the only time I have that expression.
I didn't even notice until I read this.. too funny. trippy!
Same!
The guy in the polar bear mask is MF DOOM. He appears in the video as someone in the crowd is wearing a MF DOOM shirt. MF DOOM the GOAT
Saw them for the first time a couple weeks ago and he came out to talk to people. Pretty cool! I just got into this group about a year ago and im kicking myself for being so late for the party. But seeing them live was awesome!
Sick I was at this show!!! Love them seriously
I've never heard such a brilliant use of a piano.

Michael Smith Nah man, I live in the upper east coast.
I just realized my fucking typo time to end my life for embarrassment
Rumour has it one time Oloff was sat next to Jar Jar Binks on a flight. Jar Jar kept kicking the chair in front of him and generally being obnoxious, nobody knew what to do. Eventually one of the flight attendants came over and asked Oloff if he would perform one of his songs to calm Jar Jar down, and when Oloff began rapping the first verse to Doing It Stealthy, Jar Jar immediately relaxed. To this day the two are still close friends.
This video makes me smile so hard.
The man's a pure gem ain't he
@Thomas Pynchon even when he's completely not serious he managed to pull off this intense sense of wisdom...I'm like one of the only people in my group of friends you haven't seen him live so as soon as did Us in Kenyan government figure out their problems and stop being butthurt with each other I'm going to the next closest show
Makes me.... Cry. Or something.im not sure..
@Thomas Pynchon wow man.. Like seriously. Is this 2012 Reddit grammer police. I apologize for making a post outside and can barely see my screen.
I just have to say man honestly, I'm fairly certain if Slug read that he wouldn't want you fucking listening to his music dude. taking the time out of your day to make fun of me as if it would actually insult me is pitiful
Now I understand that might be a bit arrogant of me to assume what another man thinks, but ,being a musician myself I certainly wouldn't want a troglodyte pissant who has nothing better to do with his time but mock people online for grammatical errors when knowing nothing about the person..
Check yourself.. spread love and stop puttin people down. bro
Me too. I love references to The Jerk!! And Sean is so tall and handsome!
Still say slug is the most clever lyricist I've had the joy of listening to. Thank you Sean and Ant.
Almost feel like I'm watching the jerk.. lol all I need is this chair, these matches , light and this remote. That's all I need! Lol love it 😂
went to a show in Ottawa back in the day. Just as the shw is about to start Ant walks down from just chillen up at the top seating area shootin the ish with fans. these guys are GOLD. keep makin music. keep doin your thang
1:27 Some say the tall guy is still standing there with his arm up, waiting for his high five.
Hahaha I didn't even notice that but I went back and laughed my ass off! poor tall guy haha
2:07 awkward fist bump
Watching this music video years later you notice so much new shit, I love it.
Ant never got to light the cake! I was wondering how he was going to do it one handed.
I'm probably just saying this because I am relatively young: To me? This song is every bit as important as "Changes" by Tupac
Had to go back and listen to this twice just to soak it all in. Lyrics like these feed my soul.💥
Smile from ear to ear
r.eye.p
live forever through love, if you only knew how you affect us all.
Super nice, super cool, actually listens to you when you tell him how much the music means to you and responds in kind.
punkjunkie420 That's so fuckin awesome man!!!! So dope to hear about artists who do that as well, who actually interact fully with their fans. Btw, I love your name dude!! Always cool to see a fellow punk in the hip-hop scene!! Oi Oi Oi!!
***** I just found out about that series after I posted that comment!!!! I had no fuckin idea!! It was good actually. Haven't finished it yet. And I agree dude!!
punkjunkie420 Yeah I met Ant back in June here in Michigan. He was hanging at the bar before they went on stage- totally cool about coming up to him and talking to him/shaking his hand. This dude is the best.
Got my first legal beer at 21 at an atmosphere show @ mesa ampitheater, AZ in line with slug and ant. He's definitely soft spoken, but such a down to earth guy. (well they both are) :]
Atmosphere best group i ever heard. MN REP! Keep doin whatt you doin Slug.
dude is wearing a death shirt awesome!!
THIS IS THE KIND OF MUSIC THAT TELLS ME TO GO OUT AND BE SOMEBODY
It's weird because the video is slowed down but his mouth is in sync to the song at regular speed
i
+ReflexEight holy shit I didn't even think about that LOL that's awesome
its an optical illusion
same, I was trippin when this vid poped up random and I tripped even harder!
@ReflexEight I was there. It was shot at normal speed, Slug rapped really fast. They did about 8 takes. Great show.
And if tonight was my last night I'd say that would be alright because it was pretty nice. Quite a ride and I was blessed the whole time.
Ant looking for a lighter half the video is funny as hell!
Didn't even realize that lol
he can't seem to light the matches
