I really love this pattern. I'm the kind of person who can't walk & chew gum at the same time so it would be a huge challenge for me 😂😂. I may just try it.

I’m making this & enjoying the stitch but your blocks are definitely better and straighter than mine during color changes. I wish I could send you a pic

I marked the starting corner with a stitch holder so you do not confuse yourself with which is the beginning.

Thank you for sharing. Seems fairly easy and nice way not to tie in ends with so many changes. Most tutorials I see when doing a border down the side they say to put as many stitches as the project is long. Is there a reason why on the sides where the square is right rows high you put ten single stitches? Thank you.

It matches the gauge so it’s even ❤ I explain fully in the video when I start the border

I’d love any tips on how you get the 10 sc into the 8 rows for the border, wouldn’t putting 2 sc into 1 space create bumps?
    Thanks

Could you use Bernat softee baby yarn versus the cotton one?

So it’s always a chain one on the turns? I’m new at this pattern & you just turn and didn’t always mention that in demonstration. Thank you, this blanket is so beautiful 😍🩷

Is there a reason you carry the unused yarn across and back on the last square? Why not just drop it, finish the last one, and pick the unused yarn back up when you come back? Would that change the look or the thickness of the stitch>?

You mentioned that you used around 3-4 skeins of yarn of each color for this 34x34'' blanket and I was wondering; im making a 50x70 in blanket, how much yarn would you guess would I need for that?

Hello Tiffany, I love the blanket, never mind, I actually love every project you've made so far. I've a ? for u, I heard u & ur sister talk about Suzan Bait hooks, do u happen to know if they have a 7mm with the aluminum hook part & ergonomic handle? I've searched & I can't find it. I've purchased the Clover Amour 7mm & I can't stand it, it is with some kind of plastic hook shaft. I'm so disappointed it doesn't glide like their aluminum ones, it's slowing me down. love their hooks up to 6mm but 7 & above all with this plastic hook & shaft. I have suzan Bait up to 6.5 mm with the aluminum shaft & ergonomic handle but I can't find 7mm I'm working on blanket pattern by Tiffany Hanson called silver stairs using bulky yarn, I had to up the hook size to 7mm. sorry for the long comment. I hope you can answer my question & if they have it where I can get it. I haven't checked US Amazon. ❤❤❤ Canada BC.

I used 4 yarn for this with 100% acrylic and it's very soft and folds nicely...I made this for my friend who's having a baby boy in December.
