You dont want one of theses for the studio, they are slow and labor intensive. The reson i gave this project away to the internet as open scoue after inventing it for foster and partners in 2018, is coz its great for eduction about local reyling but too time and labor consuming for long term production use. You end up not using it coz its annoying to make the filiment, plus you only get short lengths so unless you want to spend even more time joining filiment then large prints are a pain. I made my own flavor of pullstruder machine and it works very well if pet ribbon if 6.5mm width but with 8mm ribbon width the robbon got jammed and I cannot pull strong enought to got the filament out. When I use 6.5mm I can pull filament easily and I made my firts filament tests and print some test pieces. I use a volcano block hot end and I made a chanfer in the input hole of the ribbon. I made the hole with 1/16 drill bit and 3mm drill bit hole in the input of nozzle. I dont sure why 8mm ribbon is not pullable but 6.5mm is.
@frjavi73 Thank you for your comment. That is probably due to the thickness of the PET bottle. Generally, PET bottles for carbonated beverages are thicker than those for mineral water, and the thickness varies depending on the beverage manufacturer. If they are thicker, even if they are cut to the same width, they will have more resistance and cannot be pulled. I prefer a thickness of about 0.2 mm! I make my filaments by changing the width of the cut depending on the thickness.
@@tommy3dp Well this is 0.2 (with my digital caliper). I supose I will have to try with non volcano block and see what happens. Maybe the longer nozzle cause this or maybe the 3mm hole I have to make longer inside the nozzle. Anyway I apretiate very much your repply. :D

完成品が欲しい製品ですね。3Dプリントしてて、フィラメントが一番消費しますから(当たり前)。失敗作を溶解して元のフィラメントに戻したいなとすら毎回思いますよ...失敗しまくり。

It depends on the thickness of the bottle. I measure the thickness and cut between 7-9mm.

これって太いフィラメントを1.75ミリまで調整できるのでしょうか?
ペットボトルではなく、PLAやABSなどの市販フィラメントを細くするという事でしょうか?
やった事はありませんが温度条件が出せて冷却機能を追加すれば可能だと思います。

まだ3Dプリンタもお持ちないのであれば、まずはお好き3Dプリンタをなんでも良いので導入してからご検討下さい。
これを作りたいのであればFDM方式3Dプリンタなら何でも良いです。

It depends on the thickness of the PET bottle. If the thickness is 0.3mm, the cutting width is about 7.5-8.0mm

いえ特に冷却は必要ありません。
ノズルを出てから200mmぐらい室温冷却して巻き取るだけです😊
ABS樹脂でできたピンポン玉を細く伸ばして同じようにできますかね……?

機種によりますが、オールメタル化するにはヒートブレイク交換なので数百円可能です。
最近の機種はすでにオールメタル化されていて300度謳っているものも少なくないですね。

最近のはしょうでしょうけど、数年前に買った物は、200℃前後が限界です。
また、私の物はヒーター温度を上げるだけでは無理です。(ソフト的にも)
PETのリサイクルは簡単そうにも思いますが、500㏄ペットボトルでは繋目を接着出来る機材も必要で、PLAのリサイクルも簡易的な物でも、費用がかかります。
PAL端材を高く買って欲しい所ですが、条件の良い所はありません。(当然ですが)
PLA・PET以外のプラも在庫としてありますが、フィラメントにする機材の価格は改造費も考えると、捨てるか、、、になります。
