- How is anime made? How many people work on a single anime? How does one create anime? In this video, we take an inside look behind the scenes at a few of Japan's top animation departments and see what the entire process is in order to create a single episode.

I made some mistakes in this video:
-I said key animators are more amateur, but I meant inbetweeners. The Key Animators are the professionals.
-Typically anime have somewhere between 3000-5000 pictures per episode. 15,000 is a rare case.

I feel uncomfortable seeing Saitama fight goku. where can saitama survive against goku while saitama's tier level only star level or galaxy buster, not universe or multiverse Buster level. i know its just an entertainment, but can you make animation based on real anime characters power?

Okay WIT studio you have my respect for making Attack on Titan with only 36 staff members.
Respect to the 14 people (1 screenplay; 2 storyboard; 2 direction; 8 animation) that made black clover episode 100.
I'm amaze that Wit Studio was able to make an anime with great animation with only 36 staff (especially the levi fight scenes)

Dude, not everyone is an “otaku”. Some have responsibilities than watching anime all the time or they are poor to watch or don’t have the time at all. I love anime but I only watch about 6 animes even though I want to watch more.
So don’t tell someone to something in their damn life.

I think one of the reasons fillers are being made (especially in anime that air episodes continuously, like Naruto, One Piece and Black Clover), is to have more time to animate the main episodes better. Because a filler episode doesnt really have to have great animation, so they can make it without putting as much effort as in the main episodes. Im not completely sure about that though.
@@yamikagevg7841 if im not mistaken fillers apart for being made to give the manga more time is also made when companies give free days to the top profesionals, they use more amateurs when doing fillers so they get experience, i reckon reading it a while ago but no sure

@Grant Dolphine well thats the way its done for most of the anime. But there are some that doing it in the filler way. Interestingly enough most of the classic shonens (One Piece, Naruto, Dragonball) did the latter

This might be late, but you should watch shirobako if you haven't already. It's an anime about making anime basically, and it's really fun watching what goes behind making an anime.
Anime is really hard and demanding and on the workers, some don’t sleep because of it. Some have even died because of the huge demand. I pirate shit but when I can buy anime I do. Those people bust their ass to make anime.
Flazzy Fire as a person who is taking animation classes I can tell you that you are completely right, in fact there was this one animation short film that I watched and only two people were working on it and it took them one year to finish a four second scene.

The more popular anime gets, the harder it gets on people, it’s more workers ! But that means more money to spread... it’s just a industry that you have to like to do. I’m not sure how I it works, maybe you do, but maybe the harder you work you can get a higher rank and become a director ?

I think i read somewhere that toei doesn't want to animate one piece anymore but the higher ups of shueisha says 'oh no you don't' seriously i don't think any anime studios are dumb enough to animate one piece which has nearly 1000 chapters try animating that for 20 years!!! Sometimes Fillers are created cuz the anime will catch up to the manga fast or for some other reasons too

This guy makes it sound so simple... Actually it's very time consuming process and takes a lot of effort. Specially the action scenes, the movements of the character to get it all perfect, it's so unreal. You must watch them individually drawing characters and animating them... You'd feel sweat dripping from your buttcrack.

because it doesnt, It takes 3000-4500 drawings per episode. not 15,000 that numbr is absurd, and the result of multiplying 12 (number of drawings per second) by 1320 (1320 being the number of seconds in 22 minutes of show)

He's wrong. The number is 4,500 per episode because studios place a cap on it. What show in ther right minds would animate 22 straight minutes on 2s (that being 12 drawings every second every second, of every minute)? thats the only way to get that 15,000 figure.
He said can consist of as much as 15,000. Not each time. In extremely action filled episodes (like for example the last ep of One Punch Man) The Frame count was probably higher than 10,000

Mexxron Fidds those are all a combination of videos he put together from actual studios that explained animation process. I've seen a few of them. They explain it in more detail. You should check the original videos out.

It’s incredibly time-consuming to make anime. I have an A.A in Digital Art and Computer Animation and I’ve taken courses at a lot of other colleges and I can tell you from experience, that making those “cartoons” is difficult time-consuming work that requires a lot of skills.
