Thank you for taking the time to do this. Everything looks really carefully done. That string writing is amazing.

Fantastic. When I first heard this @VI-Control within ten seconds I knew you'd taken the cake. 👍 And you're doing this all in Ableton - coming from Cubase, this would've taken me ages. 😆

Thank you so much :) Really slowly but Ableton improved a lot in MIDI programming capability and this trend fortunately continues with the next version too... I have used it for 17 years and I produce in electronic genres so I use it for everything even for scoring short movies...

Thanks, this helps a lot to understand the great ways of the dynamics you created here :)

Thank you for sharing. It just highlights the fact that you know exactly what you're doing and don't resort to 'unnatural' orchestrations to achieve the sound you get. Bravo!!

Thank you very much for this breakdown, Ferenc! I wouldn't even know how to start writing like this, knowing when to switch to different instrument, etc... All those fast staccato/pizzicato lines, do you play them in yourself on the keyboard or do you click them into the DAW?

With pleasure. I do everything by mouse (notes, curves, randomness, velocities...), no records, I can't play well, and I don't like it 😄

Incredible music, equally the animation ! Will you be computing in BIFSC this year again?

Thank you very much. Yes, my 2024 BIFSC entry is half done. Today maybe hopefully my new Mac will delivered, and I can continue the writing with a much more detailed and powerful template, but currently I'm in a massive nightmare thanks to UPS delivering...

Yea that sounds like a real headache. Glad to see a coming mac user, I love mine for music, everything's so fast. That's awesome, can't wait to see what you put forth when all is ready!

Yesterday has delivered. I finished the setup. Terrific improvement, the 20% is the new 120% of CPU usage , I can add 4-5 times more of instruments to my existing template, no compromise, no more hard constrain with mic and other instruments. Sound very exciting, I'm just begining to start the work with it, and I continued my BIFSC entry, and put the whole 5 pieces Berlin Woodwinds libraries (core, solo, expansions, sfx).

Wow that's fantastic! Definitely game changing hardware for music-making. Also a Berlin fan, and it's been a blessing to have something run it all reliably. Happy to report it's been working the same as a year ago when I bought it too 😄

Nice breakdown, I loved that you combined the visuals on it 😂
You are really talented in this writing style.
    I'm curious:
Do you have a specific idea when writing in this style, or is it just "rambling" (i mean it in a complimentary way, of course 😂)
Also, do you write every section individually, or you start with one and then merging the others with it?

Thank you so much :) This varies. Usually really hard to define. There are many structural elements that can write themselves, I'm just going chronologically on a path, and there can be several spots of ideas at different levels, and sometimes I have a more defined plan...
