This video is a massive revelation of sorts on consumer behaviour. And how nice we Indians. 1. Being a well known and reputed person, THE MAN was seen pushing his vehicle on the road and this has tarnished his reputation. People must have ridiculed and sneered, and his 'maryade' went for a toss. 2. The kind people at the Petrol Bunk (OLA competitors, basically) actually charged his vehicle so he doesn't suffer (Cant imagine anyone being so helpful, in any other Country). Mera desh mahaan

I am using Greaves Ampere EV since 1.5 years. I am satisfied with Ampere EV. I am running this for 10000+ km. Till now no problem. (i) Please use AEH point for charging and don't charge using UPS. (ii) Don't use lighting point. (iii) Please check for proper grounding. (iv) Total House electric capacity which was sanctioned by the concerned Electricity Department should be more than the batteries total capacity. The dealers won't educate the people by mentioning these four points. I myself have done R&D and come to know about this. Who have bought EV already and who are going to buy, please follow the above said four points.

When i was watching his interview i was clearly sensed the fear when heas talking about charging in his home. This scooter is meant for Netherlands, where weather is cold you can't just pick that scooter up from that country and without doing any proper testing can not launch in another country when that country doesn't have the same weather. Also I would like to thank pradeep for this interview.

Lithium ion battery have a strict temperature range where it works properly, above or below that it'll suffer drastic range and performance loss. Therefore it needs proper liquid cooling. As for the permanent magnet motors, they too have the same issue, as it heats up during use , the resistance will increase leading to even more heating and more performance loss and more power draw. Therefore the motor too needs proper liquid cooling.

Respect the person (Dr) for a bold step. However, in India most of the brands follow the concept of testing at customer's end - as you highlighted. That mindset has to change. Msg to Ola - Be brave in accepting the mistake and fixing it. If you can't be bold in accepting failure. There's no shame in accepting failure. But don't loose values, else you will be defeated and not failure anymore.

My OLA S1 Problems i have Faced:
    1. Suddenly 37% to 3% drop in middle of the road & park mode is on & when I kept charge again it starts from 21%🤣
    2. ECO mode is only mode which works on its own time so don't trust this scooty if it has 27%.
3.After every full recharge we needs to restart to know actual percentage as per Service Guyz, sometimes it reduces from 100% to 87%, 37% to 21% , 100% to 93%....Etc....🤔.
    4. If u run this scooty below 60km/hr shows same Km Range, above 60km/hr it reduces to 3 km for evey km...Suppose if ut shows 100km, it means it goes to 85km only.
    5. If both guyz on scooty u needs to check km range bcz it won't give u what it says on screen.
    6. Due to sponge type of tyres small nails also making puncture. Bad tyres.
    7. Front Portion of the Scooty makes noice when u run below 40km/hr speed, u can't hear that notice after 40km/hr due to tyres noice.
    8.panel Gaps worst.
    9. No info on Manual about touch screen wash instructions.
    10. USB charge panel & Storage panel comes out when u run scooty in rough roads even in low speeds.
    11. No Sevice centre is full drawback,Roadside assistance is miracle..
Some more points i will make after few days .

@@knittingworld9641 yes that's because cells discharge approx 5% overnight that's not shown in the display.. simple solution is to reboot the scooter every 3 days and then there will be no issues

Now i feel ashamed of being unconscious bias. The act had justified reason. I would have done the same.

I cancelled mine now. Was not 100% sure to do it but eventually I would have done it. This doctors explanation cleared all my doubts. I own an Ather 450+ but the range I get is around 59-60 max! Eco mode sucks on Ather.
I suggest people to wait for another 6-7 months and Ather is launching new versions. Go for that scooters.
Ather quality is of European standards!
The difference between an iPhone pro model and an Chinese cheap phone, you will see that with ather. Top notch quality.

I had asked for RSA and towed my vehicle in 2 hours . There is big question on quality check with OLA . How come government is silent on this battery issue with OLA

government did warn all ev manufacturers regarding evs catching fire. But, seriously bro, you want the government to deal with battery issue? These kind of issues are to be taken to the consumer court by the consumers. the government is already drafting a open trade deal with Australia which may result in noticeable reduction of battery prices, as this deal is aimed at lithium cells.

Is the fuc*ing government blind? The problems with EV is clearly visible everywhere on social media and news. They are the one who should take responsibility when the brand just doesn't care at all.

@@Kishore_44 Blind?? Did you skip the beginning of my comment. I mentioned that the government(Shri Nitin Gadkari ji) warned all ev manufacturers regarding the fires. Now the companies are recalling some of the batches where they have identified some sort of fault. And yet you call the government blind. The government did its job by drafting regulations for ev manufacturing. Now the same government also set up a committee to see where the fault in the ev fires were. Some companies(bajaj, tvs) that which truly follow the regulations and done research have not caught fire. Its not the regulations setup by the government that are at fault. So yeah, Court is the way to go. And to say that work has to be left to attend court, it is not news that ev manufacturing is in its initial stage, so they are not as reliable as the combustion engine vehicles. Someone who has such important work must go with reliable combustion engine vehicles. Purchasing an ev at present makes you an early adopter, and it is a known fact that early adopters face issues and it is a headache to get the issue resolved. Take responsibility of your choice to be an early adopter if you did go with an ev and stop looking for someone to hang the blame on.

I don't have the patience to push my vehicle for 3-4 kms like this brave person. Sorry I'm not going environment green until I find better options. I'll plant some trees and use petrol vehicles instead of pushing EV in scorching sun.
