Megabass nails the natural looks so well. I think that’s honestly what makes the biggest difference with really any of their jerkbaits. That combined with precision suspension is 🧑🍳💋
Very informative video also like the under water action of each bait.this is very helpful since I'm a bank fisherman and I fish ponds and lakes with various depths
Glad you enjoyed! I don't have tons of colors of each one, and generally i stick to a pretty basic principle with color. Have one more natural color weather that be a gill pattern for grassy areas, or more shad like for open water. And then a crazy bold color, something like straight pearl, something with chartreuse, etc. I will bounce between those two and see what will get the best reaction.
I use many different medium an ml spinning rods fast an extra fast. My main 2 are a 7 foot shimano expride an a 7 foot 4 evergreen combat stick. My main line is always braid mostly 8lb to a 8 or 10lb flourocarbon leader. Just caught a golden shiner 2 months ago on one My friend gave me a weird look an said you can make crazy things happen then caught a bullhead catfish before I left on a 6th sense 106 water was 37° with ice forming @jakemeetsfish
What rod are you using,I want a lamiglass light Action moderate rod curious what your using I want that parabolic bend that won’t rip those small trebles out and has give for those bigger fish
For these jerkbaits, I use a Dobyns Sierra Ultrafinesse 650. Its a bait finesse rod with a moderate action and its awesome for trebles sized 8 and smaller.
Well I just got the karashi Megabass , idk if those are considered as jerkbait , and I hope that you can make another video of them, but for now I will buy those nanahans 😅 thanks for the info 👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks for the feedback! I have been playing with the karashi for a while now, super cool bait, im not sure what i would consider it. More of a subsurface walking bait. I will definitely make a video on it soon!
vision 95. It's maybe debatably a lil bigger than bfs, but it is a small profile jerkbait, and probably too small for a traditional jerkbait rod. Its close to a vision 110 jr size, but it's got 2 hooks, and the way its balanced, i think it looks and acts way better than the x nanahan. It is a true suspend, kinda head down, but close to level. But what it does, is when you jerk it or twitch it, when it comes to a stop it does this extra side to side shimmy on the pause. Now I'm no bass, but it seems to me, that extra shimmy-shake causes some nasty strikes, esp with smallmouth. but it is a lil bigger than the nanahan, so you might not consider it bfs at all. I would throw it on my bfs, though I typically throw it on a spinning rod honestly.

I am a big fan of the Pointer 65. Has really great action and casts well on BFS gear. And ultimately it catches fish.
Great little bait!! The small pointers have killer actions, i love the 78 myself

Thank you!
The duo realis shad 57 MR and rozante shad 63 are extremely hard to beat for castability and action.
I have not tried the 57 MR but am definitely interested in it. What types of bodies of water are you mostly fishing them?
@@jakemeetsfish reservoirs in north Texas
I love the OSP dunks and highcuts!
I will check them out!
Thanks so much for the excellent breakdown - can you elaborate on which colors you were using?

For the rozante 63 I catch so many fish just twitching it an the action is amazing my favorite right now.
Im glad to hear that! I need to put in some more with it. What rod/ line do you throw it with?

Another great vid. My lake has a ton of White Perch and it would be hard to keep those baits away from them.
So true! Are those fun to catch?

X NANAHAN IS MY FAV BUT INTERESTED IN the X 80
X 80 bfs is the best jerkbait in that category imo
