TOUGH Summer Fishing at a Florida Golf Course!
I’m not sure why this video was suggested to me now. It’s exactly spot on from what I’ve found in the lineup. I have stopped buying the rest other than the plus 1s. If you need deeper then bomb it out there and reel or pull the first ten feet of retrieval then fish normally. FFS easily proved this. Great job on the video!
Plus 1s👌🏻👌🏻 thanks!
High-quality reviews
Thank you!
You are way better than tactical bass on the megabass jerkbaits
Thanks for watchin man!
One of the best breakdowns of the Megabass lineup that I've seen on youtube. Thank you for sharing your opinions and thoughts. Matt and Tim could not have done a better job....TB
Glad you enjoyed!
Was this florida?
Yes!
Have you ever tried the great hunting humpback or flatside? They’re the megabass trout brand, looks really similar to that ryuki Nice channel! Came for the seaghost review, stayed for the bfs lure talk
I have tried them yes, they have a bit of a tighter wobble and tend to roll over in higher current. So they would be great for slower moving water! Glad you enjoyed!
What is the weight of the hover rig your using
I believe this was 1/8 oz
What bait/lure were you using?
Megabass sparkshad 3"
@ Much appreciated 👊🏼 Fish on!
I don’t think you know much about trout, baitcasters are for bass and don’t lip trout please it breaks their jaw
Great underwater footage of the BEST jerk bait on the market. 110,110+1,&110+1 jr are my go to. IMO smallmouth come unglued over jerk baits far more than largemouth.
It looks like you answered the question I had - about whether the guides are big enough to throw braid to a leader - I have problem on my Cashion icon doing that with the Micro guides - great video
Yes never had a problem! Thanks for watching!
Really nice setup, I’m considering going for a similar solution as I also want to be able to use the same boxes in my kayak as in my backpack. Thanks for showing your solutions!
Thanks! Let me know what you end up coming up with :)
How heavy of line are you running on the zephyr. I’ve just casted mine with a small 1/8 oz sinker 15 lb braid but it’s not enough line to cast very far without running out of line but I can’t see running line so light it breaks if you pull to tighten your knot lol . Any way I hope I can get use to it
Definitely downsize from 15lb braid. I use 6lb suffix 131 braid, it's fantastic for casting distance and smoothness. But I would not go heavier than 10lb braid. Thanks for watchin!
You won’t need anything more than 6lb mono for bfs
Great breakdown, thanks for the video
Thanks!
Dont understand why you would drag a kayak across dirt and concrete "wear and tear evenly" when you could get a $50 cart and "wear and tear...none"
I have a cart for extended drags, but if im going from my car 50 feet to the shore to launch, i hate loading all my gear onto the kayak and then onto the cart just to have to walk it back to the car or try and find a spot on the kayak once I get to the water. Its just convenience and efficiency thats all, I use both.
Check into the Karashi by mega bass ..it’s worth the wait ..I’m a big fan of it and the 70/80 at mega bass .. I paired mine to a “Kestral Elite” and 1 power Dobyns serria to get me into the BFS game and I really was happy and impressed with the casting on tiny baits ..distance is good ..I am adding another rod or 2 too the collection in BFS as well
I love the Karashi! The bfs game is addictive haha
Got one but like the Grow works flag more.
Havent tried that one! Definitely have heard great things about it though
Love the videos so much man they are amazing I just started fishing a little while ago and I really like it keep up the amazing work and know Jesus loves you❤
Thanks brother!
I fish jerkbaits year round here in AZ. I like the Shimano flash boost jerkbaits a lot. If I'm fishing from the bank I prefer floating jerkbaits because they snag up less.
Those flashboost baits are interesting, I just started playing with the Zumverno. Which one is your favorite?
@jakemeetsfish The Zum is my fav so far. It's pretty similar to the 110 out of all the lineup.
Good to hear, have you tried the zumverno 115? Seems super cool, but havent gotten my hands on it yet
Really great concepts. The Jr. + 1 seems to be everyone’s go to now. It’s such a good depth. But I like how you approach jerkbaits year round, not just in the fall.
I have definitely caught more on the 110 JR than I have the 110. I mostly fish small ponds with smaller bait fish (other than the bluegill). I have also found that if they aren’t biting the JR using a jerk/pause method, they usually hammer it when I just reel and kill. Just cast it out, reel it down maybe two reel turns slowly, and then kill for a few seconds… then repeat the reel and kill. My biggest bass this year, a 5-1/4 pound largemouth, t-boned it on the first kill after reeling it down. Hadn’t even had a bite that trip using jerk pause. Ended up only staying another 20 minutes or so that trip but I caught four more in that time. That was after getting skunked on jerk pause. Since then, if they aren’t hitting on jerk pause, I switch to reel and kill and almost always start catching.
That is so interesting! I'm definitely going to be trying that out, thanks!
Love the jrs, cant beat em
@@jakemeetsfishlet us know how it works out for you when they don’t want to hit on jerk and pause! I don’t see American anglers talk about the reel and kill with the jerkbait. I ran across it in some product info for a JDM jerkbait. I’ve since also ran across a few videos on JDM baits that mention a “pull and pause” technique with them. It has worked out great for me.
Yeah I have seen it in some videos, need to give it a try!
Stop talking and fish with them u talking ain’t doing shit
Nah I’m kidding
This the last one trust
Idk how many comments I put
I’m good at fishing too
Nice! Where is that spot
Where’d u find that Chad lure
Who knew it could be a large mouth bass
Wow I never knew!
No comment? That bass was obviously a large mouth
Another guy fishing in a dinghy.
1/16 of a oz how many grams is that plus theses to if you know 1g 2g 3g 4 g 5g 6g 7g 8g 9g 10g 11g 12g 13g 14g 15g 16g 17g 18g 19g 20g you know what I mean if you don’t care because I don’t know how to do it on google please thanks
1/16 oz is about 2 grams.
There are 28 grams in an oz so just divide it up - 7 grams is 1/4 oz
Nice boat! where did you get it and how much did it cost roughly?
Thanks! Vibekayaks.com its a seaghost 110, roughly $1100
@jakemeetsfish thanks man!
You’re fishing Kayak is super sick. Keep up the dope Videos.
Thanks!!
Definitely get a cart instead of strap, and 1 good anchor and anchor wizard with a anchor trolley gives u the ability to face the kayak any direction vs just 2 directions with this 2 AW setup
Definitely have a cart just always end up using my strap more haha i see both ways, im a fan of quick and effective. And yes ive gone the trolley route with one before i settled on two. It was great honestly, my only drawback was not have an easy way to stow the anchor with the trolley. I always found myself facing directly into the wind or directly away from the wind regardless, so it works for me! Thanks for the feedback though love hearing everyone's setups!
Definitely get wheels/dolly. Will reduce the wear from dragging your kayak from your vehicle to the launch point. There are many affordable options out there.
Why is it that so many Bass fishermen when catching especially smaller Bass always reel so fast that the Bass is just being dragged on the surface back to him. There is zero fight involved, where's the fun in that.
I agree not as fun! Thats why I often fish with ultra light gear to make the fight more fun. In this case, I got bit in the middle of a Lilly pad patch and did not know how big it was so I was trying to pull him up and out so I wouldnt lose him in the pads.
@@jakemeetsfish Yeah, I understand that you have to pull Bass out of cover so you don't get caught up. It's so funny because I fish with this guy from the bank, and he catches dinks. They're like half a pound or less, and there's no cover to worry about, so he just drags them in. They go staking across the water; he calls it jet skiing them in. And get this: His equipment is not ultra-light or even light; it's medium at best. To top it off he thinks he's the best Bass fisherman alive. haha.
Mine is awful .. I’m a huge fan of the regular oneten and the Jrs but this bait has terrible action .. I’ve barely used mine and the weight transfer system seems to be stuck because in the water it sits vertically ( nose up ) .. doesn’t look natural at all
I completely agree, had the exact same experience.
If you don't know, now you know...
👌🏽
It looms like it will catch a lot of fish😂😂😂😂
Holy moly! That is the best suspend minow I ever saw
Which one is that?
Great hunting vision 95, super unique jerkbait!
Rozante 77 Nuff said
Oh you know whats up ;)
Is 6'5 the best 0 power rod in this lineup? Or would 6'9 or 7' be better? I'm usually fishing from the bank
I have not fished the other sizes, so I can't say for sure. But especially fishing from the shore, the shorter rod is such a blast and easy to manage under trees, little flick casts, and twitching without hitting the rod on the ground or water. Im sure they all would be a great choice tho, I have not heard anything bad about any of the models.
I really appreciate this helpful review and did get the 650. I saw a few reviews on this rod series about how fragile the blanks were, and easily broken rods, but I think some people are overloading them by fishing them with line that is over the rod rating (or not setting their drag light enough). Better to stay with 6 lb test, you can still land some big fish with them if you are careful.
Agreed! I now use 6lb braid to a 5lb leader and have had zero issues.
That slap technique.. Came off tho
Pops that barb out quick!
The fish probably said to its buddies I got caught by this weird man and he slapped me
😂😂
Nice !
Thanks!
The white color first. Yellow color second!
Same here!
