what a band to see live. I remember back in the day they would come to San Francisco and we would go to see them live, man they were rocking. I will be seeing them in L.A. next week. what a show its gonna be. we also saw them in Los Vegas at the rockabilly festival. they did not disappoint.
@gldeluca I was born in 83 and he is my favorite guitar player...they are one of my favorite bands...it's amazing how timeless he is/they are, and how vapid and contrived a lot of popular music today is. Rockabilly in the 50's and in the 80's was popular AND good...not just good. It's disappointing, today's young guitarists don't have a Setzer, a Satriani, a Hendrix, a Slash, etc. They all go back to good ol' rock and roll.
I agree it does have that blues feel, but you will notice that the chord sequence goes from 2 bars of the I chord straight to the V chord. There are loads of rockabilly songs that do this, but imo blues songs ALWAYS go to the IV chord after the I chord, never to the V chord. whatever, it's a great performance by a great artist.

I don't wish to appear pedantic, but this isn't a twelve bar blues , it's a sixteen bar "blues" ( if you want to call it a blues, but the chord sequence isn't really a typical blues sequence ). it isn't even a blues as such

I agree I went to see the legendary Stray Cats in Manchester England in 2004. Been a fan since 1980.
