Carcosa are so fucking sick, glad you got Johnny on the show for this one. Dude is the real deal and it's ridiculously obvious how much work he's put into his vocals, especially if you just scroll through the past 4 or so years of his videos and his features on Andrew's channel.
It was so much fun to hang with Johnny and get a deeper insight into the way he screams and his mindset towards being a vocalist! We appreciate ya, my dude! Rarely see my mate these days since he moved away. But every time I go visit, we always fire on the HEAVIEST tracks we can think of. Carcosa is one of the first go-to bands we fire on hahah. Keep it going, man!
I am genuinely upset that I wasn't able to make the premiere for this. I love both of y'all so much, so it's amazing to see the two of you working together!
holy cow you live in az?! me too! ive wanted to take lessons from you for awhile now, in fact, all of these videos with the vocalists are how ive finally been able to find the base tone for my lows, something ive been trying to do for years lol. ive made more progress in the last handful of months than i have since i started trying to do vocals. now that i know youre in my state im definitely going to take some classes!
LOVEBITES / Set The World On Fire [Live from "Ride For Vengeance Tour 2021"] th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html Official Release this morning, August 24, 2021!
just letting you know there's a newline missing between the Neverbreath album link and the Viraemia in the description, and same goes for The Raven Autarchy's link Autumn Tears
They named their band after one of the most obscure but influential horror references (Ambrose Bierce and Robert Chambers)? That's so cool. That's great melodic but hardcore anyways. Like the most recent Slaughter to Prevail stuff but completely different.
its a good name but VERY well known thanks to true detective s1, which came out the same year they formed. was like the biggest show on tv that year aside from maybe game of thrones.
A death core breakdown talking about Celine Dion? Definitely shows how vocalist appreciate all genres. Not just the one they sing with I got to say the ads were really annoying during this video. Every time you would play the song it would cut to two different ads LOL. Not that it's anything you can control. TH-cam was just being pretty trolly is all.
Am I the only one who had the stewie Griffith giggles when in a video from a channel ur subscribed to, is reacting with another one ur subscribed to and then he references ANOTHER one ur subscribed to lol that Adam reference got me
These cats are from Vancouver. These guys, Despised Icon, Spiritbox, The Tragically Hip, Bryan Adams, the glorious sons, fuck, I could go on but do I really need to? Canada has some of the best music ever. I'm proud to be canadian.
@@johnnygotgrowls damn man, super glad I stumbled onto this jam. You guys are so fucking good. I grew up in the metal scene in BC (mostly the okanagan) and fuck me if there isn't a tonne of great canadian metal.
@@nathancail7939 I grew up in Penticton where I’m originally from and as a kid there was like no metal at all until I moved to Vancouver haha There’s a great community there now like in Kelowna and Vernon which is great because I wish I had that!
@@KardavoxAcademy no worries, I just really want to see your take on sadist by elysia, he uses so many different techniques in the breakdown and one technique I’ve never heard anywhere else before
Now, please, do a co-reaction with Guillaume Villeneuve of Beyond Deviation to their song "White Noise". I've been spamming this every premiere and in very comments lol I promise, you won't regret it, that dude is a fckin Pterodactyl!
Not hate at all here, but why everybody mention Dickie Allen like kind of a pioneer on Death Metal noises and again I LOVE Dickie but I heard crazy vocal stuff years before him.
He’s a pioneer for his own time, as he was influenced by guys like Travis Ryan he is now that vocalists for kids aspiring to sound like Dickie. Is a domino affect y’know what I mean?
@@johnnygotgrowls Hey, you're the guy!! Yeah hahah I just tried to start a discussion here but you're the only one haha.. Zimmers Hole vocalist used to do some sort of that too.... Wish you the best in the horizon for you and the band
Because Dickie has a really unique voice. He just does fry for his lows, but he doesn’t do it like everyone else does; his style is much more relaxed than someone like Dan Watson for example. And his highs have a special quality to them as well that I think comes from what he has said about his falsetto voice and resonance. So it’s not necessarily that Dickie is doing anything mind blowingly new (though he did seem to increase the general popularity of tunnel highs), but he just does basic things incredibly well and then adds some flavoring on top. As someone who is relatively new to metal and metal vocals, I can personally say that he was one of my biggest inspirations and is still one of my favorite vocalists.
So pumped 💕 thanks for letting me be a part of your wonderful channel!
Thanks for being an awesome vocalist that makes awesome music and a wonderful guest!
Hey Johnny, you should go check out the like to dislike ratio on the Angelmaker video. Well deserved.
Ive never listened but now im a fan 🤙

Why is your beard so flawless
WTF!!! NO WAY!!! MY BOY JOHNNY!!!!!!!

Finally! Johnny is a tremendous vocalist. Underrated Imo
For sure! Hes one of the only vocalists who makes their vocals audible! Lol

Johnny's just such a likeable dude
Yes, we love him!
Now him and Andrew need to invite you to do a vocal callouts video with them.

You should definitely try to get Will Ramos and do "...And I Return to Nothingness"
That would be amazing 😍😍
1,000 times this
Dudes the GOAT and super underrated. Fantastic to see him on here.

@@johnnygotgrowls in my opinion, you are better than mike and casey combined.

watching this while wearing my Carcosa hat 😁
Hes such a down to earth dude
This reaction was the best! Awesome chat. Johnny is for real🔥
You can tell it's gonna be a good one when the guest goober says " howdy doody! "
Johnny is one of our favourite guest goobers - we love it every time he stops by in our community!

Ayyyeeeeee....hell yes!!!
I know that Angelmaker already have two vocalists but I do really hope that Johnny gets some vocal parts on their new record. Not only playing guitar.
Live he does the backing vocals
Glad to see the guy from epic meal time on your channel!
You should try to do one of these with Will Ramos for either '... And return to nothingnss' or 'of the abyss'

"We know less than we think we do"
Now those are some words to live by. Mark basically became the Lau Tzu of metal vocals for a second there lol
That guy looks very similar to the Epic Meal Time guy.
Also, would love to see one of these videos with Adam Mercer from A Wake In Providence and Entombed In The Abyss.
I appreciate him saying “especially” correctly.
This is probably my favorite video to come on the channel, he seemed so legit happy to be there for this!
I was!
It's Jonnhy! Show me that caboose
Yes
Never new he was a guitarist in angelmaker that's very dope
Hell yeah, Johnny is the best!

Kardacast, Kardavoxcast, Pod-Kardavox-cast?
I need some heavy songs from Kardeshev. Any recommendations?
Im in Arizona

I'd love to see a reaction to "The Architect - ERRA" or "The Anomaly - Scar Symmetry" or "Ghost Prototype II - Scar Symmetry"
