Dani Fernandez es una chingona! What a treat to have her with the CzechXicans. I honestly knew very little about Dani less than 2 years ago, but over time, and thanks to you homies, I've learned to appreciate her energy and talent!

Great ep! Great guest! Very informative. As someone from Europe I understand all the concepts of the ongoing strikes, but many of the names i heard first time when strike started and it was naturally pretty confusing to understand who is representing who and so on. This cleared a lot of this up for me. I hope the strike ends soon, but only when people recieve improved work conditions and decent settlements based on growing Ai technology, which cant and wont be stopped, which working people in the industry obviously should get and recieve protection from. Its bare minimum and its sad its not yet unified thing, but its good seeing people unify themselves to fight for their basic working rights and good conditions.

My grandfathers were miners in eastern PA (Molly Maguire area) and my grandmother was a union steward for her sewing factory that made Shirley Temple dresses. They were of Italian and Slovak descent, the immigrants of their time and considered undesirables . I hate that people forget the past and where they come from. I’m happy to boycott or donate. How can we help?

"AI generated entertainment would look and sound horrible" ... Yes, but might not in 10 years and that's the scary part, I think us who are around now can't stomach the AI but i'm afraid that younger people will be so used to AI that they somehow won't mind it and you know the studios are banking on that

For anyone looking for more info on how the UPS union is going the "It Could Happen Here" podcast interviewed two members from the union on a couple of episodes.
"A UPS Strike Deferred" from July 25
"The State of the UPS Union Negotiations" from Aug 9
probably will have more on at a later date as well
Also gotta shout out Hector, saw you are gonna be in the new season of Dirty Laundry. Can't wait to hear your secrets 😄

my feeling is that robots are supposed to take care of the redundant mandatory tasks that no one really wants to do and free us up as humans to enjoy our time and use it for the stuff we're passionate about, not limit our creative potential by remixing what has already been made.. I pray that a central moral respect for artists and creators is established during the strike and the conversations being held lead us into a better more practical future because right now it sucks being a part of this industry and fearing its future and as a consumer seeing so many shows and creators not be supported the way they deserve to be.

I don't get it. Here in germany it's mandatory for all people to have heathcare even if you are unemployed you get heathcare paid by the state.

@@kptmaci4979 fun isn't it. right now I'm qualified for a zero payment insurance. because I don't make enough to put money in savings though my bills and groceries/occasional dragoncon trip to help a friend who is a panelist each year are covered plus I do have enough of a cushion in checking just in case. but when I go 5 or 10k more a year than what I make now. which is a plan. some day. I'll probably be paying 200 a month for a different plan.
cigna incidentally. apparently 15k to 18k a year qualifies for not being charged anything per month. who knew

The irony of 3 men who look basically identical, with same type beard same type hair same type glasses , same opinions same clothes saying the same thing about wanting diversity and complaining about the same handful of people getting the same jobs is actually hilarious. No hate just funny that there is so self awareness at all in the bubble

Those two things don't have anything to do with each other, you were just looking for a way to be a complete ass. We don't have the same opinions, but I think you share a lot of opinions with the types of folks who aren't welcomed here. Don't watch our videos. Thanks.
