You have got to be kidding me!!! I felt like i was watching a video of my last week.
I had a buyer purchase an item, he got it & loved it. But then he started sending me nasty messages because i didn't mail it the same day he purchased it. I explained i had 3 day shipping & he could return it if he was still upset. He refused because he gave it away.
He sent me multiple nasty messages. I would not respond to them and that made him madder.
He gave me a nasty "Neutral" feedback. He called me all kinds of names and complained about the shipping.
At first Ebay wouldn't remove it. I finally filled out a form and let them know this was not fair.
Ebay finally removed it.
I completely agree with you. This is a scam by buyers to get a refund from us.

With the neutrals, I would go ahead and request ebay remove them. It's worth a try. I recently had 1 negative and 2 neutrals removed just by reaching out to ebay. The negative said I sold her knock off Gap jeans (LOL!!) and almost immediately after I reached out to ebay, it was removed. The 2 neutrals were removed within about 5 minutes. 1 was because USPS took too long, and the other was because they hadn't "used the product yet". It never hurts to ask ebay first to remove, then if they don't, move on to the buyer. And if that doesn't work, definitely a response to the negative or neutral is completely warranted. Especially if you are not at fault!! Love y'alls content!! :)
This video came just at the right time. I’ve had multiple requests for returns lately for reasons that were just made up. So weird I didn’t have a single one for months! Neutral and negative feedback that’s just plain lies is hard to let go!
Stop offering returns....I haven't had any returns ever since December when I started, sell plenty😊
It is worth the 10% off my final value fees to offer free returns. Annoying, yes but worth it.
I have a friend who orders from Amazon all the time. Several times she has told them that their product is defective and they just sent her another one and tell her to keep that one. Then she gives that one that she complained about as a gift, I don’t understand some people.
That's wrong. Many small sellers send stuff in to Amazon through the FBA program. Buyers like that are hurting regular folks, not Amazon.

I tell buyers that the use of neutral or negative feedback to communicate is not in the spirit of Ebay. Proper etiquette is to contact the seller if you have a problem. I remind them that we offer Free, no questions asked returns, so they are not stuck with their purchase. 99% of the time the buyer changes their feedback.
That's a good way to address the buyer.

I am not sure that under the new feedback policy in recent weeks, that eBay is still removing negative feedback upon free return for top rated plus sellers. Will be interesting to see what happens but I am under the impression that they're no longer honoring feedback removal unless the feedback violates eBay feedback policy. I hope I'm wrong.
It was auto removed today after I refunded the return.

The little sword and the little shoes and things like that do u put them in a very small padded envelope and charge a flat rate? Things that weigh 3 ounces in a envelope is crazy to me to cost 5-6 dollars just to get tracking #
Ebay requires tracking on our items. I don't ship stuff without it. It will cause you to get defects and buyers can claim they never got it and you'll have to refund.
My unfair negative just fell off last month. I was also convinced it was a buyer that just wanted the item for free. He was upset that the “used item wasn’t new.” Seriously. Ebay wouldn’t remove it and he wouldn’t return it. At least his feedback said “view all pictures and description closely from this buyer.” Haha- yes, please do. I just responded to his feedback and angrily looked at that red 1 for a year.
Luckily, eBay followed through and removed the negative after I refunded the item and closed the case.

Oh for the days in the past of MUTUAL TRUE feedback! The days were there was not automated and sellers not able to give a true feedback. It was once a great thing - not so much anymore. We started our business in 1998. 22minutes in...license plates - our state (Michigan) requires 10 years old or older before license plates can be listed. Even saying that - eBay pulled 2 of mine a year back from 1976.
Tennessee is 3 years or older for license plates but they also just changed all the plate designs so not sure if I can get away with newer ones. So far, no issues with eBay.
I have no returns accepted on my listings. They can choose not to buy it if they don’t like my policy. So far so good with my sales. I just today had one buyer inquire where their item was. I shipped it on the 3rd and still hasn’t been delivered. Apparently it’s USPS doing why it’s delayed. I’m just hoping EBay doesn’t accept any negative feedback from this buyer because I shouldn’t be penalized due to USPS being the ones delaying the delivery.
Sellers shouldn't be penalized for delivery issues but, unfortunately, we sometimes are.

LOVE you and Robert. I love your transparency and your honesty. One question that has been bugging me as I watch all these eBay videos...maybe two. Do all the youtube resellers have stores? I'm a reseller with just a regular account. Not really looking to open a store. ( I already own and run a brick and mortar Vintage Market) but I'm curious if I have to have one to reap all the rewards you all talk about. Thanks again for your great channel and answering my question.
I think having a Store will give you more sales- it did for me- and it allows me to run discounts, coupons etc.

Once you get to a certain number of listings, having a store makes sense. You get more free insertion listings and I believe the fees are less too. And the marketing tools are totally worth it.
Please update us if your feedback goes away after the return. Last I talked to ebay about a neutral they told me if I commented on it that it wouldn't go away and they wouldn't remove it!
I refunded this morning and closed the case and within 30 minutes the feedback was gone.

Do you think Free Returns puts you higher in search?
I think being top rated plus helps which requires free returns and 1 day handling. I think having free returns also lowers the number of items not as described cases also.

I have 4 pending returns right now, very frustrating, I agree. I also have 5 neutrals for the year, one just says "Thank you" and another says "Item as described"

People are nuts. I’ve had some weird influx of returns myself. With internal batteries I always say in the description That the batteries are unable to be changed and I have no control
Over the life of the batteries. I started this recently and haven’t had issues with those types of things since.

I have had 2 neutral feedbacks recently that eBay wouldn't remove. The first one the buyer agreed to delete but said eBay wasn't allowing her too. The second I cancelled the order because the buyer sent me a message wanting it shipped to a PO Box, I don't ship to PO Boxes. I was so upset it wasn't removed! I've had several say there was no way to contact me. I ask for a return even if it's a $5.00 item. Usually they don't send it back.
Is there a specific reason you don’t ship to P.O. Boxes? I ship to P.O. Boxes all the time.

I've never had a problem with a PO Box. And yes, I always expect a return unless I think I made a mistake.
