The Magic of Coronation Street: Distant Memories, 1960-1964 (1982 VHS release, linking inserts)

These are the specially filmed links from the very first commercial VHS release of Coronation Street from late 1982. The VHS featured six episodes from 1960 to 1964 in between linking inserts from the three characters. The specially filmed links were written by H.V. Kershaw and directed by Bill Gilmour.
The six episodes were as follows; Episode 1 (9 December 1960), The Gas Leak (1 February 1961), Christmas Day (25 December 1961), Elsie loses Bill Gregory (11 July 1962), Annie's 'This is Your Life' (25 December 1963), Christmas pantomime (23 December 1964).
This VHS is one of my most treasured. I acquired it two years ago for a very cheap price on Amazon. It plays exceptionally well even though it is 36 years old. More importantly, this is a significant release as within 12-15 months, Elsie, Len and Annie had departed the programme. Quite funny to notice the mistakes in the end credits!
