well, the discrimination and hypocrisy that comes with it [heteronormativity], certainly is a social construct and conspiracy against minorities, don't you agree?
But gays still have long been under-represented in most aspects of public life, from TV and movies, to political office, to corporate CEOs, even relative to their percent of the population. In my lifetime, when I was young, there was practically NO mention in media of gays, and the few mentions were extremely negative, usually trying to make a villain character look more "creepy". This is not ancient history.

Garrison Keillor wannabe drones on for 16 1/2 minutes, with no more than 2 minutes of relevant content. Whoever told this guy he was charming and/or funny did him a disservice. One of the worst, if not the worst, TED Talk ever!
As a fmr research scientist, I can assure you that his description is not one of pseudoscience. He tested the hypothesis by taking objective measurements and crunching the numbers. Can't get more Scientific Method than that.
Doctor Breedlove is a great name for a guy working on this subject
😂

It’s surprising how FEW scientists ARE actually scientific, so it’s refreshing to see something like this👍
More people need to see this.
Great Talk. Love when ideas are tested. Thank you.
I wasn't allowed to say pregnant in my house. I've learned to be way different with my kids.
Silly euphemisms like, with child.
The last part isn't surprising at all. Also how much different
That "I'm the only one who knows" moment is awesome 😁
What a charming, smart, avuncular guy🎉❤
wow this was amazing. whats not to love about science
Cut to Trumpers and most GOP being entirely afraid of science.
It was difficult not to focus on the very bad acoustics, lighting, and camera angles. MSU's AV team needs some training and better equipment
Exactly
Some TED Talks drop truth bombs, some just look to entertain the masses
Ok, what’s your point?
And this one beautifully did both.
But very few do both, which this talk did perfectly.
This talk sadly doesn’t live up to the title.
Marc Breedlove is great.

That’s my professor!!! ✌️
He's excellent!!!
So cool! You are lucky. Hope you have great conversations with him.

Great Ted Talk! Inconclusive as far as the science goes but very good.

Im a tomboy , and my son is a softy. Guess I got more testosterone and he didnt🤷♀️. Im curious about bi people ..
" I'm " ? Is that an English word ?
You insult your son on YT? What a mother.
Don't see any insult there.
I prefer softy over sissy. I never liked male roughness. I always preferred connecting with other males.
@@janaeroshumba760
Softy is NOT an insult. Try sissy, now that's an insult.
Why are you so sensitive about this subject?
Worst audio ever
The movies are "heteronormative" because most people are. It's not a conspiracy or a social construct.
Its mostly because of homophobia. The next thing would be the fact that most people are straight.
well, the discrimination and hypocrisy that comes with it [heteronormativity], certainly is a social construct and conspiracy against minorities, don't you agree?
True but could have some more characters than hetero all the time. And some more shows and super heroes once in a while

Why won't people introduced themselves first nowadays/////and "who are you?"
Bi confusion
who created the intro music?
Replace jock with joke.
He didn't answer the question but came to a conclusion. This is pseudo intellectual
So he's a scientist who jumps from one lab activity to a completely unrelated conclusion.
Not even close to being true.
read his study ^^ then come to comment ;)
@@matthewaussurin3566 Where is it?
this is misleading on so many levels... hopefully most people that watched this knows its nonesense
But it's not nonsense. Or did you miss the part where multiple studies support his findings?
also he lowkey tried too say it was choice. which it is not
Genetics explain no more than 25% (and that's extremely liberal) of homosexuality observed in humans. Cope. Most homosexuals are made.
