A fittings kit would be awesome!!
I would buy a fittings kit, for sure.
YES!! Thank you! I've been looking and reading all over trying to find the thread info for the p-pump input ports. God bless you sir. Have a Merry Christmas Mr. Rob.
I'd definitely be interested in buying a kit.
I would buy a fitting kit for sure
Thanks for this video!
I'd buy a kit if you put one together
Can we also get a video of adding in an additional fuel filter and what youd recommend etc thanks!
Hey man, love your stuff. I was curious what fuel lines you would recommend for the injectors? I need some new ones and Crazy Carls offers 3 sizes. I’m approx 450 hp (my guess) and am adding compounds when the weather breaks. Happen to know a good “rule of thumb”? Keep it up my man!
Just to the small size for that power range
I found the spring you use to upgrade your lift pump according to your old video, is getting hard to find, borderline obsolete. I bought the last set of 16 springs that summit had in stock a month or so ago. It's funny you put this video out, I literally just bought all of the stuff to upgrade the suction and pressure side of my fuel system. I'm running -12an on the suction side and found that 1/2bsp fitting threads perfectly on the inlet side of the pump and seals with a 22mm crush washer.
Ya the springs are starting to get hard to find.
I would be interested in a kit with everything
Would really come down to overall price.
Not having to source every piece would be nice!
Great info Rob. Have you heard of, or know, the root cause of splitting a spin-on fuel filter? Many moons ago I had a ‘96 with a sump, 1/2” braided S.S. fuel hose with a PDD hot rod lift pump, and using the OE spin-on filter as you show here except everything from the filter to the injection pump was OE including the overflow valve. After driving for about two hours at around 2500 RPM, God bless Big Sky country, the filter would split at the seam. I was just starting to lay the foundation for that truck to make more power and didn’t even have gauges installed yet but I’ve always wondered what pressure was and what was causing this. After two failures (two different brands of filters too) I removed the mechanical pump, installed an Air Dog and sold the truck for a better project.
I had it happen to me years ago. I switched to bladwin filter and I never had it happen again.
@@CUTTERUPROB Baldwin filter?
@@preachers4135 hey autocorrect got me on that one.
Been interested in the high hp trucks running a boost pressure referanced regulated return setup.
Ya some of the new electric pump have that option. I think it’s a good idea. Same could be done with the right regulator as well
Thank you for posting this video. I have been pondering doing a fuel system upgrade. Do you have a name or part number to take a 2002 5.9 vp44, and upgrade that to a spin-on fuel filter? You are so right on the canister of junk for a fuel filter.
Geno’s garage sells a killer billet one. Might cost more than oe though.
You can use the same style as in the video just have th plumb it up. But I always recommend to have a fass or air dog with filter on a vp44. Well as long as budget allows
@@CUTTERUPROB Thank you for this info. Looks like I will do the spin-on CAT type filter and a FASS type pump. My Cummins beast is my profile photo. Three year build, and now attacking all the performance upgrades. With fuel upgrade, RV75 Bosch injectors, ecm turned up to 250hp, I should be real good for the road.
Would it be okay to t return fuel into the fuel line pre lift pump instead of to the tank?
Needs to go back the tank.
Where’s the damn kit??? I need one
I haven’t had time to get them organized.
I need to find a helper
