The sound test with the S and D keys for V1 and V2 browns was not ideal. The sound is affected by how many keys are around the key being pressed. D has keys on the left and right sides. S only has a key on the right side. I have noticed the pitch of a key on the end generally sounds higher than those between multiple keys. I've tested with multiple sets of switches.
I have always trained my pets to not go on my desk and certain furniture. The anxiety I had when I saw you put all those screws on the desk and then saw her sitting so close to them is very real 😂
What chair do you have good sir? In the market for a nice one. Also, I have Gateron Reds - Q6 Mark 1- and the depression resistance is a little harsh. I remember you saying Gazzew Bobagums are good. Perhaps a video on switches might be interesting if you haven't done such a thing lately. Looks like a nice chair.
I haven't tried Cherry browns (I've barely tried any switches tbh), but I've tried Gateron browns, lubed and stock, but I actually prefer them lubed and I actually like how the bump is barely there. I don't know why people complain that the bump is barely there, because isn't that also a characteristic of Cherry and Gateron browns? Isn't that like complaining about black switches being too heavy or silent switches being too quiet? I tend to prefer lighter switches, like TTC gold pinks, so maybe that's also why I like lubed Gateron Browns 🤷♀
Well, those switches disappoint a little, if you ask me. They are certainly not the "new gold standard" as they were called by cherry 🙂 @Hipyo have you ever thought about using Gateron Optical Switches in a custom build? Finding a compatible PCB+Case might be difficult I assume...
Devon Rex cats demand so much attention, they really love the company of people. Also I live about an hour outside of Seattle and I hate it here. It rains TOO much. People are so unfriendly Washington compared to other places I've been. It's probably because they don't get enough vitamin D. But I'd rather live here than in Idaho. Who would suggest living there it's MAGA-nation bro.
