I'm a big fan of Jimi Hendrix for more than 40 years, living in Japan. When I hear Randy plays the guitar and sings, I feel as if Jimi were still alive. Not only can he plays the guitar as Jimi did, his voice is so close to Jimi's. He is so awesome.
When I saw Randy Hansen live and closed my eyes I thought Jimi Hendrix had risen from the dead. Absolutely brilliant. Big compliment to Randy Hansen. Klaus Kluger Hannover Germany
..saw R.H. late 1970's.. I wasn't old enough to drink by firm 3 years or so.. he was... playing the Golden Bear in HB..... stoked to see him going at this still some 40 yrs later...
He even has cool stage moves along with his amazing performance! It just reinforces how great Jimi Hendrix was in his day. I think Randy is without a doubt the best! His band needs to be a little more cool.. Probably hard to find musicians with that retro conviction for Hendrix. Glad for what he has got and keepin' it going. Love his dual stack Marshalls and bass players double SVT Ampegs. You can really kick ass with those babies on stage! Throw in a stacked girlfriend, some wine and a blunt and you are ready to be experienced! Man kids today haven't a clue what I had back in the day. Facebook my ass! Never been on it...too busy listening to old vinyl records and burning incense while grilling chicken outside with Nature and sunshine. Now twitter that you millennial clueless children. Rock on baby boomers! Stsy young and happy to real music! All good in the rock n roll hood! ✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌
I also had the privilege of seeing Randy in the early 80s, all around LA, and the gig at the Santa Monica Civic. Most of the time, I was usually on acid of some kind, including the excellent liquid L-25 from SF. Suffice it to say, it was mind-blowing!
Saw him over a dozen times from 77 to mid 80s. I saw his Showcase at the Roxy where he got signed. Only 70 seats sold to public. All the tables up front hand record labels tags on them. I recorded a bunch of shows. A couple with Buddy...at the Greek and the Palace both in Hollywood. I think I have a couple tapes of him at the Golden Bear as well. Great shows. But the best show by far was Santa Monica civic!! OH MY 78 and was right on.
@@jeffbauer3425 the man that is doing all the Mike Millard tapes has mine too. Soon he will be remastering 3 Yes shows...90125, Berlin, Arms and Rush. He has about 150 tapes of mine I gave him 2 months ago.
I'm glad Randy didn't coerce the audience into standing for the anthem like he did on occasssion. I don't know if he's just doing it becausde Hendrix did it or if he really believes in group concensus?
Randy is amazing but this band clearly doesn't know the material the same as randy does and can't keep up with him and it's making him seem sloppy but it's usually on fire! I've never seen these guys with him before so that's why!
Please......This band has been with him as long as the European band......Spano is closer to Mitch Mitchell, who was all over the place in his day, than anybody else.....You gotta hand it to Randy who remains loyal to these guys who have have remained loyal to him
And knowing the band doesn't know the material that well randy should have focused more because trying every trick in he arsenal constantly is a little over the top ....but it's all in fun I guess 😆

Seen Randy 5 times in the states in the 80s, UFO Walter the bass player when Randy tours Europe is awesome along with a great drummer

I was thinking the same thing. The drummer and bass are having a tough time with Hendrix stuff played live.
