Zurek is not Hunter Stew. Hunter Stew is cabbage and sauerkraut based. Zurek is based on fermented wheat flour

Zapiekanka is rather "polish bruschetta", I think.

The word ‘Pierogi’ is already plural. DO NOT ADD the letter ‘S’ to the end of this word. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏‼‼‼‼❗❗
In Polish, we say one ‘pieróg’, two ‘pierogi’.
A typical street food characteristic for only Krakow is "Maczanka Krakowska", which you could also eat in the Jewish quarter at Judah Food Market (Świętego Wawrzyńca Street 16) - there where you ate Zapiekanka, but in a place called ‘Andrus Maczanka Po Krakowsku’. It's a shame you didn't get to try this dish.
