    Omg sooo good. I had done these almost 2 years ago and they came out horrible. I had 6 boxes sitting in my closet. You nailed it!! Thank you. I’d love to see how to safely remove these

      I hope you can get some use out of the 6 boxes. They definitely aren’t cheap 😀
      I linked the removal video in the cards and the description box (or I meant to), but here it is again. I have some others in my Nails playlist: th-cam.com/video/VubY9oOw7r0/w-d-xo.html

    I cannot begin to express my thanks for your nail tutorials! You inspired me to remove my artificial nails that I was having to have balanced at the salon every two weeks and try these and the dashing diva. For the price of balancing them 3 times I purchased a lamp, some strips and the gelish duo. I am now on my second set and very happy with them. The first application lasted one week only because one nail popped off and I’m sure it was because I didn’t spend enough time with the rubber thingy on the edges. Second attempt going strong one week in. Your videos definitely helped shorten the learning curve! THANK YOU!

      Jenni, I’m so glad! Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Enjoy your nails. And it does take a few applications to find a perfect way for your nails, so I’m glad you kept going after the first one.

    Thanks to your videos I have just applied gel strips for the first time and it went really well! Curious to see how long they last. I never paint my nails or go to the salon, so these seem like a game changer for me 😍

    Hi Lucy! Thank you for all your nail videos, there is so many helpful info! I tried Ohora then dashing diva and nailog. I also had an issue with Ohora pilling off at the down edge but I still wanted to use the brand cause it has a lot of gorgeous designs. I tried acetone trick and didn’t like it cause it is messy, then I tried to file that part of nail near cuticle before putting gel strips on with soft side of my file a little, so there is not much harm just to take off the gloss and it worked.

    • @kbeautyhobbit
      @kbeautyhobbit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      How long ago did you try Ohora? I had lifting with so many of them that I bought in 2020. Then I got more of them a few months ago in 2022 and didn’t have that issue. I asked their marketing rep if the formula was changed but she wasn’t sure since she wasn’t with the company in 2020. I’m going to use them again here soon and if they don’t snag, I’m going to say the formula is likely improved (or the nail sticker thickness maybe or something

    • @АлинаАкимова-ч8ы
      @АлинаАкимова-ч8ы 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I started with them 1 year ago and constantly had that flow for a few months, after that I only used gentle file, but my friend didn’t have this issue so I think it can also depend on nails condition. Mine are thin glossy wet.

    • @kbeautyhobbit
      @kbeautyhobbit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes good point. Nail condition and potentially shape as well.

    I’m new to the semi cured gel nails. Your tutorial is really helpful. After watching the video, I just completed applying my first set and everything went really well. I had to quit wearing regular gel nails … my nails were so unhealthy. Hoping these make my nails much happier. 💕

    • @kbeautyhobbit
      @kbeautyhobbit  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I’m so glad it’s helpful. I find stickers much better for nail health, because removal requires less invasive tactics and it’s easier to take breaks. I try to take about a week off every month to let the nails rehydrate.

      It’s a fine line between being as detailed as I’d like and keeping the video a reasonable length. I’m glad you liked that I included it. Thanks for the feedback.

    Thanks for the video. Can you please show how to trim the strip if they are too big? Thanks.

    • @kbeautyhobbit
      @kbeautyhobbit  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would avoid trimming the sides since the strips are beveled and have thinner sides vs the middle. You can stretch them length wise to make them slightly more narrow.

    I still have my acrylic tips on, but grown out 4weeks. I don’t want to remove them because they are very tight. I want to apply the stickers over these as they grow out. If I prep my nails properly, by removing old polish and clean well, will this be acceptable ?

    • @kbeautyhobbit
      @kbeautyhobbit  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Probably yes. I don’t use acrylic tips so I’m not the best person to ask this, but it sounds fine to me. A long time ago when I’ve don’t fake nails and they would grow out, I used to remove nail polish, lightly buff the ridge at the grow out cuticle (you could always tell where the acrylic started), and then apply glitter polish all over to hid the ridge. Worked awesome. Didn’t have nail stickers back then.

      @@kbeautyhobbit Since you add a gel top coat over the gel set, do you still follow the recommended instructions to remove the gel? Or do you need to use another method like acetone?

    My nails curve a lot.I had originally tried dashing diva mine came out all wrinkly I couldn't get them smooth. Are they strips better?

    • @kbeautyhobbit
      @kbeautyhobbit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t have wrinkling on any of them so I might not be the best person to answer this. I saw Ohora has some 10% off specials on Amazon so maybe grabbing a set and trying it would be the best way to figure it out.

    I was disappointed with these particular strips, unfortunately. I just bought them off of Amazon and found them to be hardened and I was unable to get them to stick properly to my nail beds. I see from watching your video how flexible the strips should be. Perhaps the problem was my buying them off of Amazon and hopefully after I call their Customer Service dept, I will be able to get a replacement or my money back. Thank you for your detailed instructions!🙏

    • @kbeautyhobbit
      @kbeautyhobbit  ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be the shipping too. Extreme heat messes them up. They shouldn’t be hard.
