Yet there are still people out there that will say the echo isn't a pro saw and that the 500i is the future. I'll take a brisco built 7310 over a 500 any day. Although I wouldn't mind a ported 500 for backup lol
Echo makes some of the most durable and easy to modify saws ever, not a great mod guy myself but from what I’ve seen! Stihl is on another level as far as power to weight tho, another level in terms of price tho also haha
One of these days I’ll get my hands on a 7310. Got a 600P now and it’s pretty impressive with a muffler mod and carb tune. Got 10 saws at the moment can’t justify adding another to the fleet.....yet.

I came up with around 5.9 for port 500, 6.3 echo and about 2 seconds slower for stock 500. Interestingly the echo had the fastest single cut being it's first cut.
@@rubentrujillo2013 it is amazing how a Dolmar PS-7900 had the same power to weight as a 500i two decades ago. That being said, I don’t dislike the 500i because of a few features that aren’t up to par. I dislike Stihl, for pricing it (and their other models), so dang high. No wonder everyone is out there buying Echo now🤷🏻♂️
I’m impressed with both ported saws, but the 7310 being smaller and not really broken in WOW!
Echo was damn close. I think if it had the same cc's as the 500i it would edge it out. They're both angry beasts nice job👍

The echo is still fat an not even a tank thru it yet after I ported that 500i it turned into a beast both a sweet to run

What do you have the rakers set at the saw on the 500i was jumping.. Think it was set a little egressive
They were set at 45 I say it in the vid its the same bar an chain that I had on the echo
