    I still think you’re gonna love running the 462 after modding it. Good video👍🏻

    Just timed the 500i ported and your previous 7310 and both 30 second saws nice. I know you posted the previous video first. But by the look of the cuts on the walnut I’m assuming you made this one first then tested out the 7310. 👍🏻

    Definitely nice saws! I’d like to put my old p60 on the mill and take a crack at slabbing the walnut!

    Can't wait to see what the 462 will end up doing!

    I had a chance to tear apart a smashed 462.To me the lower transfer on the jug is way to small and there's only one that feeds both sides.I can't wait to see you mod the 462 and do this comparison again.

    Once you port the 462 you’ll like it! Still like my 461 the best though ported

    It doesn't cut like your hot Roded 4910. That little saw is a killer.

    So I’m running a 500i stock and. A 261 cm stock as my go to get all done combo felling logging limbing and fire wood processing for money. As these are high use saws would you recommend porting them or maybe the 500i or maybe just the 261 to get a bit more out of it but I want and need a work saw like I stated I use them all day. Or should I leave them stock and buy a saw and port that one so if it grenades I’m not out over 2500 bucks

    • @ricksanchez7459
      @ricksanchez7459 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How much runtime on em? I wouldnt port the 261, they run ok out the box, they barely keep a 20 inch chain oiled though. And after paying for porting you are talkin a near $1000 saw. A 4910 all in and ported is $750, just alittle more than a 261 stock. And they oil great, which is good for processing. The 500i is up to you, they sound pretty good out the box but moneywise it pencils out. I have a 661 I got instead of 500i because same price. I want it ported, only used for big timber.

      Ya man!! All in the name of science, so Charles made good use of it in the end. His documentation approach and porting skills shine through. If I was closer to his location, I would have purchased all that walnut from him for sure :)

      I've seen several other videos on the net, and they were very close!! 2 seconds or less, lighter & less cost,once ported they really wake up!

      @@man9170 I prefer how smooth the 572 is.. There’s absolutely no vibration plus it’s ergonomic and nimble. Little bit heavier but overall has better torque imo.
