    Oneplus focuses on features that user use on a daily basis rather than once in a while, I'm still a oneplus one user and I'm very much happy how my phone still surviving for 4 years without any problem

      Damn son!!! that's a pretty long time to keep a phone! Especially with a non removable battery! Is your battery life still ok? And what is your android version? Did you flash a rom?

      @MakoHazard 6 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      BlackLion I'm still on the OnePlus One and so is my wife. We both just ordered the OnePlus 6 yesterday though. Our One's are pretty terrible at this point. Very slow, battery barely lasts, and they won't even charge right a lot of the time. The ports or cords are just too worn out at this point. Haven't installed any new OS manually other than automatic updates. Definitely in dire need of new phones.

    • @missfl0werstar
      @missfl0werstar 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Mine works really fast still, no custom rom. The hardware (battery, speakers, gyroscope, camera focus) are giving up on me sometimes and quite frankly a lot of apps have gotten buggy on this old a software version. It's survived a few bad drops with only a few minor scratches but those might be catching up to the phone. It's still buttery smooth though. My husband has a 5T and it's a really good phone too. Kudos to OP, I love their phones.

    this is one of best reviews i have ever seen (especially of this phone). you mention all the pros and cons without weighing them in your own opinion! but you still say what is on your mind when it matters. you did great research and cover all the points without leaning towards either love or hate.

      just go here www.oneplus.com/oneplus-6 ( you will see a flag on the top right hand coner click it and pick your country ) im pretty sure it would work in your country the thing im mad about is Hauwei phones not working in the USA that's a huge market for phones.

    • @mintgardener
      @mintgardener 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      that's not entirely true though, you can buy Huawei phones on Amazon and such. they were GOING to sell through At&T at the start of 2017 but the US government blocked them because of "privacy concerns." Also, ya if you can go to their site, but how hard would it be for him to add that to the list of specs no?

    Getting this phone for Xmas. I’m not concerned about being at the cutting edge of tech when it comes to my phone. I wants something fast, with decent storage and a usable camera that is somewhat future proof. Oxygen OS is light and non-invasive and I’m a fan of the dedicated notification button. It’s about the only thing I miss from having an iPhone. I’m also not too bothered about the notch. It’s happening, it’ll be standard for a while, I can live with it. The rear mounted fingerprint reader is going to take some getting used to but again, I’ll manage. For just over 500 quid, I’m not going to get a better phone than this. Great review as always dude 😊

    Calling this "the TRUTH" or a "REAL review", implies that other reviews are leaving information behind or that you're presenting something that isn't being talked about. Nothing you said here is new, which is why I think your title is clickbait. The ONLY thing I do not like about the 6 is the glass back. If it had wireless charging, yeah sure why not? But it doesn't. So why make a glass phone? All it has done is make you worry about breaking both the front and the back.
    Other than that it is an excellent phone.

    • @tielmaster7879
      @tielmaster7879 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Garrison West oh does it have better reception? Thanks didn't know that. You're right wireless charging isn't that big of a deal for most people with dash charging. I just thought the glass was just for looks. Still prefer a durable phone though. But that's just me.

    • @gossqjenkins6657
      @gossqjenkins6657 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Tiel Master I mean they say its for better reception. idk how much of a game changer it actually is. like I'm totally with you, I'd prefer the durability especially since they didnt add wireless charging with the glass back. though i still plan on picking one of these up soon.

    People judge the price increase and new features compared to the 5T and is it worth the price hike. But they forget that the 5T got improvements(which were not small at all) from the 5 without a price increase. So if you compare the price and features of OP5 to OP6 you understand that this small price hike is really really worth it. And people really take the OP5T upgrades without price hike for granted.

    I bought this phone in 2018 and am still currently using it in 2021, this phone absolutely still kills it and hasn't slowed down at all since then, and would even recommend buying in 2021 if you're on a tight budget. This phone is just all round for me still a really solid flagship and still absolutely kills it, the battery still last all day long with some left at the end!! and charging speed is still really really solid.
    In 2021 I would rate this phone 9/10
    From a oneplus 6 user!

    • @thetruthisouttheregofindit128
      @thetruthisouttheregofindit128 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jordan Comstock tbh 7+ is still a phone with a processor that competes with sd835 and the latest exynos in gaming.
      But yea once you use a flagship processor,you just don't wanna go back.
      Trust me Apple won't add more ram unless they finally add an actual multitasking feature. It just doesn't need as much ram as most android flagships atm.
      Even if they increase the ram,they will further increase its price since its apple were taking about.

      If there's a discount on the 1+5t in your area I'd still highly recommend getting it. Got mine 2nd hand for 150sgd off (and only used for 2 weeks) it's normal price and I have no regrets so far
      The difference between the 5t and the 6 that I can see honestly is the updated GPU and a slightly better chipset, and while the 6 is much more value for money, a 20% discount on a 5T will definitely be worth the price you pay

    I know how you can prevent the back from scratches and have you finger guided to the finger print cencor. Just put a good case on your phone. I prefer the spigen case its really nice, it protects well. The only con is that its makes your phone a little bit wider, but that shouldnt be a big problem because the phone itself is already not that wide

      i warn you, dont trust sammy fanboy. I've used s6, s7e, iphone 7, oneplus 5, and now using iphone x. Samsung really sucks, stuttering after a few months with their lagwiz.
      Oneplus 6 is a better deal. You got everything you need.
      And camera? Seriously, what makes samsung so special? just selfie with it, and you will know. Your face will be disgusting in sammy's camera with their yellowish tone and cartoonish like.
      So basically,
      Best overall / price phone = Oneplus
      Best user experience = Iphone
      Best marketing = sammy ( they got a lot of fanboys, but almost every celeb uses the iphone. Because of what? Samsuck bro..

    Speed is amazing.
    Battery life is still fine but i charge only up to 80% using a rooted app.

      @NadimSadeeq 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've seen others also talking about using an app to restrict max charge, is it really that important? I just got the OnePlus 6 and of course while I'm not against increasing its longetivity, I only charge to around 80% anyway with fast charge

    • @HAWXLEADER
      @HAWXLEADER 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NadimSadeeq I use the app battery charge limit to maintain it between 75 to 82 when it's connected.

      michael johansson Yeah, wireless charging is lame. You still have to plug in the charger. Then while the phone is sitting on the pad, you can’t pick it up and use the phone. I prefer a long usb c cable. The only true wireless charging would be something of the like of Nicola Tesla mindset of an energy field in the room .

    Lack of wireless charging also a deal breaker for myself. This is a feature 2018 flagships should have, and you can't call yourself a flagship killer without it. Yes, dash charging is superior, but people are after the convenience, not the speed. Step up and find a way to do both, then you really have a flagship killer.
    Also, how about a smaller form factor? Not everyone wants to fit a 6.3" smartphone into their pockets. This was the other deal breaker for me, and is why I'd pay extra for the S9, even with my dislike for curved screens.

    The top-end OnePlus 6 was by far the best deal.... The 256 gigs of storage alone make it a much much better deal but the 8 gigs of RAM allows the phone to still be good 3 years later in 2021...
    There's a difference between looking for a good deal on a phone and just being cheap and when you ignore what competing phones with similar specifications cost and only focus on the price tag I think that's a bit short-sighted...

    Up till now, there is no phone that can go completely head to head with the Samsung galaxy s9+.
    It's either they don't have the best screen, or they don't have wireless charging, they don't have a head phone jack, they don't have micro sd support etc.
    So there is no phone right now that beats the S9+, every phone still gets beat by the s9+ because they are missing something here or there. The s9+ is the best phone up till now. Samsung will always lead.

      daniel philips Samsung cramps every feature they can to attract customers. And it does pay off(not in places like US,Canada,Australia though)
      Some people got used to those features that are gone now such as no headphone jack no ad card slots etc.
      Especially in US most people use Bluetooth headphones/earbuds so it's no big deal for them.
      Micro sd cards aren't as useful as the were before(unless you use your phone as a hard disk) because most smartphones come with enough storage space these days(except Apple)
      Wireless charging..eh I don't know why people adore this thing when they can use a wired fast charger. It's a cool thing but meh.

    Literally my only problem is the speaker system. Not only does it not have a stereo system (which is what I want), but the speaker is placed in the worst place, being on the left side. When you go into landscape mode, unless you turn your phone upside down, it is extremely easy to block the speaker. And this matters to me because I'm not an earphone/bud person, they bother my ears. So I hope either in the 6T or the 7, they fix this. If they do, I think I will become a One Plus customer.

    still didn't get why people still. complaining about:
    no wireless charging in glass body: if you an OP user with dash charge, you will understand why, the glass body is not for wireless charging, but for better reception.
    why need wireless charging if you can get the faster charger.
    it's about the speed and usage not only fancy accessories to make your phone way more expensive
    why a notch?
    if you need wider display with smaller body ratio, a notch is still a must unless there's a tech to place the mike, earpiece, camera etc under the display.
    but no worry, if you are not too confident with notch, you still can hide it without reducing the display with the notification bar.
    extra: why people still think that notch is the innovation from Apple and everyone is copying???go some research and read more.
    the first phone with notch is not iphone and the patent is also not owned by apple anyway.

    I use android, specifically a unlocked android phone because I want freedom and options.
    The fact that the OnePlus doesnt work with the US CDMA band negates any argument for the phone.
    Verizon CDMA is the best network in the US in most regions and the fact that Samsung flagships go on sale for 50% off kills the argument that OnePlus is a good bang for the buck.

    While making really fair reviews, one thing that reviewers always miss is that companies like OnePlus and Oppo, and Lenovo tend to buy parts (like Snapdragon chips) that are good on paper, but they actually buy the cheaper, lower quality builds, and in some cases even directly buying chips that actually fail their examination, for dirt cheap prices. This is an especially common tactic with Chinese manufacturers

  • @abhish69

    3 things I have realized-
    1. People are so hell-bent on finding faults in the Oneplus 6, they straight up target the notch when you can simply hide it which has been mentioned everywhere.
    2. Then they complain about the price and how it has increased over the years, well, on one hand, you want a flagship killer (whose costs increases by100 dollars every year) but on the other hand, they don't even want to pay a little extra.
    3. Arun, quite clickbaity of you. :p

    Look bro, every year we get the best SoC from Qualcomm, 6/8GB RAM, same price range image sensor and display. OnePlus operates for the around same price per unit every year and when you say something like "price bump but you get latest and greatest" do you honestly believe that?
