This movie was a phenomenal piece of production, both Wes Studi and Christian Bale made these characters gritty and realistic.
Wes Studi and incredibly talented actor. None of the movies come alive without his larger than life presence. He is one of a kind ❤❤❤.

For those that don't know of Wes Studi. He is a true warrior having fought in the Vietnam war. Then forced to fight federal agents in a 3 day armed standoff while protesting mistreatment from the US government at the Wounded Knee monument. Afterwards, he was arrested for participating in the conflict, which he proudy accepted. A man proud to fight for his country, and his people. Wes Studi embodies Native Strength and Pride. He is highly loved and revered by the Native American community. Wes Studi is the real thing, and watching his movies and hearing of his accomplishments, one can't help but feel pride to have this honored blood in our veins.
Sure he was familiar with the music from Last of the Mohicans.

When I first saw "Last of" in the theater, I immediately recognized that Magua was the true star, that he hijacked every scene he was in. I had Magua nightmares for a couple weeks after, with that music droning along in a do-loop.

Certainly one of the best and authentic looking Westerns I’ve watched.

Лично Я после окончания фильма ещё минут пять в полной тишине смотрел в темный экран. Много мыслей и впечатлений осталось после просмотра фильма. Рекомендую всем.

Christian Bale is my favorite actor of all time. He literally NEVER misses.
He was amaizing even as a child in the movie Empire of the Sun. When i saw his performance there i knew he will always be an impresive actor. And he is in every movie. My favourite roles, the one above and the one in The Fighter. Exceptional!

I had to pause the movie and finish it later. Hit too hard. It is my personal favorite role he's done.
(I know the writer, director, cinematographer ALL had a hand in the scene, as well as others. But his acting was too good in it.

My wife watched this with me! She doesn't care for westerns but we both loved this movie! Rosemund Pike played an amazing part also!

Christian Bale nailed this. He looks extremely authentic as a soldier from the mid-late 1800s… The hair, the mustache, and the way he walks, and handles the knife makes it feel as though this guy has done a thing or two in war time. Those were hard, tough men, and he represents that well.
This scene makes it seem like it’s about to go down, although it isn’t until the end of the movie that he gets to business.
This was eerily like a job interview I attended, it was a patisserie looking for a pastry chef.
