I bought this unit recently. I work at Polaris in Roseau where these are built worked on quite a few myself actually before we started back up on making model year 22 sleds. Liked these touring's so much I bought one & I gotta say it's pretty sweet. Also thank you for this video. Made the winch installation quick & easy. :)
I remember going through what you went through when I installed my warn winch on my 850 in 2012. I ended up taking off more of the body parts in front of the radiator and handlebar lamp to help w installation.. Then, I made some mounting brackets for the controller and remote in the area in front of the radiator but behind the grill. It took awhile but it was mounted and protected from areas that acquire mud. I'm glad I did it myself as I got it done the way I wanted. You can even see the Warn label on the remote receiver through the grill. I/m sure that you will appreciate what you've learned in the future while maintaining it. Have fun!
If you check the three minute mark on this video you sill see that the connectors are not where the instructions say they are. I assume the 850 should be similar to the 1000.

The snarky captions got old real quick! I just installed the same winch in my 2022 850 Touring yesterday.
I’m trying to fine my blade connection on my Highlifter 850 people say it’s under the radiator but I couldn’t find it

Where did you get your A arm guards
Those are stock on this model.

The mirror on the one side was only slightly shifted over to make room for the winch switch. Otherwise, everything is where it was from the factory.
