    Thanks for being honest and so thorough with your review! I haven't seen anyone else mention the flash being blocked. Love your production too and photos!

    Best complete review of the wide conversion lens that I have watched (and I have watched many!). Your photos are beautiful and very inspiring, thanks for taking us to this charming spot 😊.

    Excellent review. Just bought my first X100 and this WCL is tempting. Also, Port Mulgrave is a great place for such a review (not that I have ever been there).

      Thank you! The more time goes on the more I love the WCL, i just wish it was a little smaller!
      Definitely check out port mulgrave the summer if you can! Cool little spot

    Dude, I'm loving this series of videos exploring random locations (and this really is a random location!). I can't wait to see more of your adventures. I like your no-nonsense approach to your videos. It's super refreshing.
    I've been contemplating the WCL too but the price puts me off slightly. I like your thoughts on the power in the restriction of the fixed lens. I hate choice! I'm often crippled by it. Keep up the awesome work!

      Thanks very much! I appreciate that :)
      While I do enjoy using the WCL overall I think it does stifle creativity too much. I guess it depends what approach you want to take with it. Hopefully one day it will come down in price to make it an easier choice for everyone!

    Just found your channel and its amazing! You really capture the feeling you get while using this camera in an very comforting way! It really inspires me to take my own x100v out and shoot some photos!

    as always, amazing video! May I ask if those are SOOC using your Point & Shoot film recipe? or edited RAW? thanks!

    Dude... These shots are beautiful! (found you through the fuji reddit group). Did you make the preset for these shots? The colors are stunning. I've been editing JPGs but these make me want to edit the raw files.

      Thank you!
      I did yeah, it’s based off my Point and Shoot recipe (check my other videos) but just using the extra latitude of the raw files for a bit of extra dynamic range and stuff. I plan on doing an editing walkthrough on these at some point in the future :)

    Thanks Eddy, this is my coast too and I haven't explored it enough. Port Mulgrave id definitely on my list for visiting this year. Nice review Ive been tempted to pick one of these up but I think I might stick with my 16mm on the XT3 for wider stuff although thats more kit to carry. Lovely images.

    • @EddyMaynard
      @EddyMaynard  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks very much! Would definitely reccommend it on a nice dry day :)
      If you have a 16mm already I’d probably just stick with that

    It's not about needing it. It's about HAVING it for that once in a while occasion, when to include that extra wide length to grab and feel the context will give you a satisfaction to have it added to your camera. Yeah, being hundreds of miles away on a trip where you'll be cussing yourself for not having thought to buy that little protruding add on before leaving home, is a waste. That non caught price will live in your mind for years to come.

    Have the WCL II also. I prefer the 28mm FOV and use the OVF. The guideline square is gone, yes, but there are corner markers as you show in your comparison images to assist framing.
    Your observations on the flash performance is spot on - the only downside imho. I accept the slightly greater bulk and even think it adds to the camera's beauty.

    • @EddyMaynard
      @EddyMaynard  ปีที่แล้ว

      do you know if the corner markers are accurate? I was assuming it was just a rough guide, whereas ive found the box in normal 35mm mode to be very accurate (minus the parallax effect)

    hows the set up with lens like? filter and the converter or converter and then a filter?

    • @EddyMaynard
      @EddyMaynard  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      converter first, and then filters screw onto the converter :)

      Hi mate! I edited the raw files here, but the edits were based on my point and shoot recipe (Eddys point and shoot), i used classic negative as a base in lightroom, kept the warm white balance shift, and just used the HSL sliders in lightroom to fine tune the colours a bit. Hope this helps!

    •  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@EddyMaynard thanks Eddy! Do you have that “point and shoot” recipe published somewhere?
