Literally said “oh shit” out loud when you said you were going to film yourself reading the last few chapters. I cried soooo hard! This is why it’s my fave book! 💛 I’m so glad you picked this one Gabby!

Hi Gabby! I love 11/22/63! It’s not the traditional Stephen King but super fantastic in my opinion! I have read it and also have it on audio. The audio is also one of my favs! The narrator has such a soothing voice. Oh and I have never watched IT or read the book so I had no idea there was that connection! Lol
If you like the “everything happens for a reason” message, you’ll LOVE the Dark Tower series. There’s loads of time travel and alternate universes in that as well. So glad you enjoyed this!

I've found that I enjoy consuming Stephen King books via audio. I struggle with certain aspects of King's writing and I've found that audio helps make it easier to get through those aspects.
I have to use them in tandem if I'm going to listen to the audiobook. I'll listen throughout the day when I'm driving or running around and pick up where I left off that night in the book. My brain is too ADD and listening to the audiobook I have too many "wait, what?" moments

Gabby, I'm a new subscriber, here and on Goodreads :-) This post and your last post made me think to recommend The Plot Against America as a television show. Both deal with changing histories, alternate realities, and what America would look like today if something big from its past had turned out differently. Enjoy!
I'm so glad you finally read this!!!! I've read at least 10 recommend books by you and I'm so happy you finally read a book I recommended to you in the comments lmao
Oh my god I just finished this book whilst watching your vlog and I didn’t cry at first until I reached the end of this video, listened to some things of what you were saying and I thought about it more myself. I realised it was a case of “right person, wrong time” he has to suffer with these memories of this past happy life and put the rest of the world and Sadie’s happiness before his own. I sat and had tears rolling down. Gave it a 5 stars. Definitely a favourite but don’t think I could sit and read the entire book a second time .
Try reading The Stand! I think you might love it. It's quite long though, but beautiful. It has a great well built plot and also perfect premise for quarantine - spread of deadly flu. Highly recommend! ❤
Thank you for sharing your reaction and thoughts. It is wonderful to hear people's experiences of a book and how they touch us personally - especially this book. This was a beautiful and sad ending to me, too, but kind of happy to me in a weird way.
The Dark Tower series is amazing! I know you'd be hooked after the second book. The first can be tough to get though for some people but it's all a wheel
I just started this book I am on chapter 8 and I have to agree it is a bit slow right now, but I am going to keep going. This is the first Steven King book I have ever read and I need to know the ending NOW!!!
I agree that a good chunk of the book felt like filler which I struggle with a lot in Stephen King’s works. I also think it’s interesting that you had mentioned that this is one of his smarter reads rather than just horror. I feel that most of his work has an undertone of society is the true evil or some other commentary. Such as Pet Semetary, Cujo, Carrie, etc.
I’m so happy you decided to read this one! It sounds amazing, it’s been high on my list. And you’re right, perfect time w all this time on our hands lol
i just dinished reading it bc you recommended it. I could really feel the emotions Jake had to experience. And i agree that while i was reading i also wasnt rushing to finish it. I really enjoyed it so much. Ive read a lot of your recs and all of them were great but this one, i really want to hold on to it close to my heart.
This review piqued my interest to try this book as it sounded different from the usual King. Just finished it, loved the writing and the reading experience. So thanks a bunch to you for this video! I completely agree with you on 2 of your points: -This is a very intelligently written book. I really appreciate the fact that it is very different from the classic King's 'bizarre' mode, many a time making us question if it was envisioned in a drink/drug induced stupor. -I am very thankful that the historical fiction part is more predominant than the Sci-fi, but, I totally agree with you that this book should have been at least a 100 pages shorter. Page 450-550 had practically nothing in it. I really liked the part in Derry. Jake's travels through the country in that era was also charming. This is one of King's best, albeit deviating from his horror forte, but I appreciate it all the more for that. This one and Pet Sematary are his best works.
Nice to do the comments, really. The book made you cry on many occasions. Just like it did to me. It is easy to read, I love their love story, but later it gets really tense and sad later. From the moment Sadie dies, the whole store shows up. Jake has never saved USA from killing Kennedy, also he has has never helped Harry's family to be killed by sledge hammer. He has done nothing at the end, and that was the best he could do. And for Sadie.
You start crying and then I'm crying but I had to skip the spoilers so I don't even know why we were crying together, LOL. I guess when I get to the book I'll find out. Love your reading vlogs!
Hello Gabby. I just joined your channel and I Love It ! I am so glad you did this vlog on 11/22/63. I was feeling everything you were saying about the book. I got kinda bored with it and I hate to say that I gave up on it. Now I wished I didn’t. Guess I’m going back to try it again. You gave me a lot to think about so it will put me in a different frame of mind to re-read it. I am reading Kill Creek right now and really enjoying it. Thank you.
Your reaction to this book is so powerful, holy crap. I hope you’ve read Dark Matter and Recursion by Blake Crouch, they give off very similar vibes when it comes to alternate reality, decisions changing your life and the world’s trajectory, etc. and even if you’ve read one, I think the other is also worth a read.
This is a great book and I really enjoyed your review, the only problem is that the music is really loud and you’re speaking is really quiet so I had to turn it up to hear you but then down really fast whenever the music came on.
800 something pages? I read it in large print and it was even bigger 🤣🤣🤣 I picked this book up when I wasn’t even a big reader back then and I thought it was amazing! His books are a hit and miss for me but it was definitely a hit
Love your talk about setting daily quotas for reading! I've done that for years but I always end up plowing on forward to the end of the book :) I read most of Part 4 and all of Parts 5 and 6 in one day--and that end was nothing like any other King ending!
I watched the series which I highly recommended, I mean James Franco is in it, I'm starting the book now, but you crying towards the end was adorable, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Hope you're staying safe!
So I just discovered you and I can’t stop watching your videos... mainly bc I really want to read something Stephen King since I’ve never done it before. I started watching 11.22.63 tonight and like you, I’m not a James Franco fan. I will say, he has done very well and I am totally seeing him in a different light now.
I can totally relate to the reading speeds for specific books. I think some books are denser to get through. And I think word count plays into it as well. Some pages has more words than others. It depends on the book and genre.
I read this book and I loved it!! It was so fun to watch you experience the book while you were reading it, I also had strong emotions at the the end. I do agree with you on the length, a bit to long. One of my big problems that I had with the book is that I felt that the characters weren't that compelling (except at the end).
I've been waiting for months to get this book ,finally my sister has brought this book to me .I might start reading this book in a couple of days after finishing all my work . I'm soo soo excited to read this. ohh god
The diner on the Part I Watershed Moment page is Zips. Down the road from me in Killingly, CT. Random little tidbit for you. I was absolutely in love with this story. I haven't felt a connection to characters in a story like this in a long time. Spoiler free from me, but, while I understand the ending, it's not the one I wanted haha!
This book was such a surprising package for me, didn’t expect to be crying at the end of it! Definitely in my top 3 king books. The stand and IT take the top two places. It’s a very very close 3rd though
This book hit me in the feels made cry like a baby such a good book it’s not like your average Stephen king stories but my goodness he smashed this book right out of the park same as green mile
Okay so I read this book a few years ago and came across your video and was like damb I gotta see your reaction lol I hate romance novels and bought this for the sci fi element but God the romance made this novel. It was amazing and I've watched the series now and loved it too. My favourite part though strangely is trying to save Harry's family finding out how difficult it is for Jake initially to find out it's harder to change the past the bigger the effect it will have on the future. Loved your review. Keep it up!
Your review on the show, comparing both to one another would be amazing! I’m a huge fan of the show and now because of this book review I think I’m going to buy the book and give it a shot! 😀
Hello from Brazil!!! I didn't read the book, but I saw the series and it was amazing!!!!! Probably the best series I have ever seen. Congrats for the video
Ahhh! I bought this a while back and I wanna read it soo bad but I have decided that I'm gonna read It first..but this video just gave me all the giddiness thinking of reading it soon!
I just finished. It was so good! I didn’t expect it to end that way. But I can’t imagine a better ending. So many emotions... It’s my second King book (my first one was The Shining) but 11/22/63 is my favorite one so far.
Genuinely one of my favorite novels. My absolute favorite Steven King novel, in comparison "It" was overlong and gross often while this was genuine, human, and wise. Despite not liking some of the time travel chicanery at the end being unsatisfying, the novel really does EARN the often over-repeated butterfly effect trope, because steven king understands time travel is itself a quixotic vision that you can fix everything that went wrong in history, it's an intoxicating one, but like every intoxicant it has ramifications far beyond ones immediate understanding.
I haven't read this book (yet) but I definitely will at some point! I am a sensitive person but not really a book-crier. So I'm excited to see if I'm gonna cry while reading this.
You know it’s a good book when you reach the end, and wish there was more, even after reading 849 pages.

I can totally relate to the reading speeds for specific books. I think some books are denser to get through. And I think word count plays into it as well. Some pages has more words than others. It depends on the book and genre.
I am enjoying your review as I am listening to the audiobook.
I read this book and I loved it!! It was so fun to watch you experience the book while you were reading it, I also had strong emotions at the the end. I do agree with you on the length, a bit to long. One of my big problems that I had with the book is that I felt that the characters weren't that compelling (except at the end).
i haven't read the book yet but i just watched the show on hulu and i loved it! i hope i can get to reading this soon :)
loved the ending! made me cry a lot as well!
I loved Salems Lot! I hope once you do get to it that you enjoy it as well! :)
Brilliant book I couldn't put it down. It had a great story, time travelling, the last hundred pages it had me on my edge of my seat.
Gah watching you cry made me cry 😭 it is a good book though.
I knew you would love this book❤️❤️❤️
I've been waiting for months to get this book ,finally my sister has brought this book to me .I might start reading this book in a couple of days after finishing all my work . I'm soo soo excited to read this. ohh god
I just ordered this .. and can't wait to start. 😁
I finished this book today and it was AMAZING
The diner on the Part I Watershed Moment page is Zips. Down the road from me in Killingly, CT. Random little tidbit for you. I was absolutely in love with this story. I haven't felt a connection to characters in a story like this in a long time. Spoiler free from me, but, while I understand the ending, it's not the one I wanted haha!
This book was such a surprising package for me, didn’t expect to be crying at the end of it! Definitely in my top 3 king books. The stand and IT take the top two places. It’s a very very close 3rd though
Definitely gonna but this on my TBR list
"Someone you knew in another life, honey." kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilled me.
Hello from Brazil!!! I didn't read the book, but I saw the series and it was amazing!!!!! Probably the best series I have ever seen. Congrats for the video
i was saving this book for November but you've convinced me to start it sooner!!!
YES Do Salems Lot! It's one of my favorites as well as Needful things!
You are the sweetest angel🥰 so glad you liked it my love it’s made me want to pick it up now but I need to finish pet cemetery first
mind of mollie ahhhh Pet Semetary is sooo good!! 🥰
Good books sometimes makes you sad, scared ,laugh and cry.
Ahhh! I bought this a while back and I wanna read it soo bad but I have decided that I'm gonna read It first..but this video just gave me all the giddiness thinking of reading it soon!
I’ve never read a Stephen King book but dude this vlog makes me wanna read this gigantic tome of a book.
Gwendolyn Kensinger hahahaha you should 😌😌😌
I just finished.
I really recommend you reading The dome. It's such a cool story and the more I read the better it became. It has over 1000 pages though... 😅
This is a good reading day.📖📕💥💥💥coooool!!!!!!!!
I haven't read this book (yet) but I definitely will at some point! I am a sensitive person but not really a book-crier. So I'm excited to see if I'm gonna cry while reading this.
