For like the past 3 years I’ve been watching you destroy my Raiders drafts and be absolutely correct. For the first time, I actually hope you are correct lmao
Thank you for speaking the truth on QJ, he is a classic example of a player who was drafted with unfair expectations and misunderstood talent. If he got the chance to play a role like Rashee Rice did with the Chiefs, he would’ve excelled.
Telesco drafted a project in the 1st rd when they were in win now mode which makes no sense. He passed on Flowers, Addison, LaPorta, & Kincaid. QJ seems to lack the play strength & hands to be a very productive receiver, but I hope he proves me wrong!

Not sure who would have been saying we didn't need OL - it was clearly the biggest position need on the roster.
Sean Payton historically has had a lot of contrary opinions to the concensus opinion in regards to QBs, and with how much he values the ability to play within structure, it’s not super surprising that he loved Nix, especially over Jayden and McCarthy who’s value wasn’t necessarily in their ability to play on time and in rhythm.

The first step to dethroning the Chiefs Dynasty is for their division rivals to finally get their act together. I think Denver and LAC are really making moves in the right direction. LV is doing fine, they just gotta get a QB cause I just don't see Gardner or Aidan O'Connel being that guy.
denver will be one of the worst teams in the league this year (imo), not a nix diss tho. LAC and LV are in good trajectory for future years, by the 2025 season I think those two will heavily compete to win the division
The Chiefs UDFA class pulled a few good players in. I had a 4th round grade on LB Curtis Jacobs out of Penn State, and a late 5th on Fabian Lovett, who’s a really solid run defender.
This was my most anticipated one and I just want to say I agree each of these teams nailed the draft. At 13 with 6 qbs already gone I am actually gonna agree with Telesco in saying that none of the qbs on the board the rest of the draft would be significant enough upgrades to warrant drafting them. Not Rattler not Travis not Milton like there's no need to waste a pick on a reach when you're clearly trying to build up the roster so that when a qb comes in the transition is smooth. And yet I don't even think this is a bad team or qb room. Minshew when surrounded by awesome talent like he is now can thrive he showed a lot of starter ability last year and almost took the Colts to the playoffs. Not saying it's perfect but just like the 9 years of Carr, he's a qb you can win with and at best because of on occasion. But he needs the roster and I think even if it's not this season, this team is clearly being set up for sustained success in the future. Overall draft wise: Bowers is a nightmare who's gonna finish in the top 5 for offensive rookie of the year I think just as a versatile weapon not even a tight end lets kill that position name he's gonna be a thorn in your side and you're sitting here doubling davante and meyers and going well wtf he just torched our linebacker for a 20 yard gain off a screen pass? JPJ: Big animalistic hard nose badass who's gonna add an element of power to this offense we just haven't had since the Hudson, Brown, Gabe Jackson days a few years ago and I see him as easily the best IOL player in the class DJ Glaze: Good run blocker with a better anchor in pass pro than I think some give him credit for all he has to do is narrow his hand placement and not bite so hard on outside moves which expose him to finesse rushers cutting back inside for easy pressure but overall as a pass blocker he was one of the highest graded olineman in that sense last year DRich: Lengthy athletic freak with fluid hips and a guy who's gonna play in this zone heavy get the big play or the tackle fuck the bend dont break shit system that Graham has created while having interior pressure be such a necessity to make the dbs life easier he's gonna thrive and develop quickly into maybe our outside cb1 if he can pick up man coverage concepts better and develop certain instincts to make plays on the ball Eichenberg: Like TFG said a very high floor potential replacement to Spillaine eventually but for now he's our Sam linebacker he's gonna be a Perryman clone I feel as just this smaller but very instinctual powerful run stopper Laube: I drafted this dude in like the 3rd round of my dynasty league this year because I feel his upside is Ekler like. He's got a bit of power which is gonna help him run inside if he has to but the after the catch ability and ability to make the catch is immense and he's arguably one of the best recieving backs in the class and I think him and Zamir make a wonderful thunder and lightning combo Trey Taylor: ideal size at safety, familial ties, good bloodline in the league obviously but I feel military school guys get slept on this guys is uber smart very athletic can be a leader I mean ffs he played for a military team who better to be an eventual leader and possibly a weapon epps replacement? MJ Devonshire: despite sounding like hes from the Shire and at times looking like a hobbit out there he's got great ball instincts he's a solid athlete who's a competetor and I think an immediate Amik Robertson role replacement with potential to start eventually. So overall I mean my personal grade through the lense of a fan is A- or B+ and grades they're not always accurate not every player works out but I think the top heavy near bust proof players really despite the shock value really set the tone for our draft by saying you know what we're gonna do, good luck trying to stop us. And I think the gameplan for the draft was simple but effective. No they didn't get a qb and I'm lowkey greatful because of it. No need to reach and ruin a great draft all because you really like Mccarthy. Why not wait and see what you have with AOC and much like AP himself said give this kid a full offseason ota training camp etc with the 1st teamers with the best of the best and see how this kid can improve. And if he isn't willing to take a step further and be a capable starting qb like I feel he can be then your safety net is Gardner Minshew? Maybe I'm higher on the qb room than most but Minshew as your backup plan isn't bad. If you're somehow still reading this college disortation of a post thank you go Raider Nation! Just felt like the perspective of a Raider fan would be appreciated on this one.
I don't know enough about Quinton Johnson to really have a take on that, but as a Commanders fan I would say Marcus got attached to his take on Dyami Brown. The reality is he is just a fourth or fifth receiver. He probably has the talent to be more if he were highly motivated, but he is kind of laid back. For example, when Carson Wentz organized an offseasaon QB/Receiver workout at his home two years ago, all the receivers were there except for Brown and beat reporters have indicated Brown is a little non-chalant in how he practices. Marcus always seems to think if he is just given a chance he'll prove to be a number 2 receiver in the NFL, but the reality, while he may have that ceiling, he may not have the personality to hit his ceiling. I would say one thing that Marcus probably underplays both in the NFL and in the draft is personality. There may have been a reason Brown dropped to the third round in the first place.
The Broncos might be the best Day 3 drafters in the league. So many quality guys on our roster that came from that range. I don't think we're going anywhere this year but I wouldn't be surprised if we won 7 games this year when everyone is expecting 3 or 4
There’s a lot of people praising washington for taking Daniels and slamming denver for taking Nix. I don’t see an insane difference in the level of ability between the 2 and could 100% see Payton molding him into a really nice qb.
The only time when a QB can be a first read would be when you have a stacked team (49ers, Eagles), if you’re Bo Nix , you will suffer being that type of QB on the Broncos
So not sure what you may want from these teams. You knock Denver a bit for going QB at 12 (they desperately needed one with only Stidham and Zach Wilson), and suggest the Broncos maybe should have gone in another direction in round 1 with blue chip talent like Bowers, and deal with the QB position later or next year. But then with the Raiders, they take your advice and you knock them a bit for ignoring QB at 13 and maybe not trading up for one, and taking the blue chip talent in Bowers instead, despite them actually having a capable starter already in Minshew. Seems like these 2 teams can't win. Both need franchise QB's, one took a swing on one, the other passed, and they both get knocked a bit one pick apart from each other.
Well they are both on different situations considering the Raiders signed a veteran and would have had to trade up for one of the top guys. Denver was a more desperate situation. I wouldn't say I knocked the Raiders for it, am just begging the question of what they are going to do at QB
@@ThatFranchiseGuy That makes sense. I'm a Bo Nix fan so I hope he works out well. Like you said he really reinvented himself after going to Oregon. To me that shows he coachable and I think he'll enjoy throwing to Sutton and Franklin again. Excellent content as always!
The part where you were talking about the Broncos putting themselves in the situation they were in was a little unclear to me, is it correct to say that you did not take them choosing to put themselves in that spot into account when evaluating their draft?
As a denverite...bo nix smoked us when cu played oregon..zero pressure with the broncos...it will take time...love.the raiders draft and.the bolts too... joe alt.is a beast.... and adding harbaugh...almost.not fair... last yr was a dud..this yr should be strong for the afc west...gonna b tough with the afc norte though..
If a team gets a perfect scheme-fit, pro-ready QB without having to trade up, a B is a little harsh, no? Maybe I'm just high on Bo, but I liked him as a prospect better than Penix and JJ already. Going to Payton is the icing on the cake.
He's old af and there are a lot of divided opinions on how good he actually can be. For that matter there are a lot of divided opinions on whether Payton is actually a good coach. So no, a B is perfectly fair and tbh I'd give it a C+ because he was a reach without a doubt.
@@narddog2151I mean technically him and McCarthy have very similar resumes. I wouldn’t call McCarthy a great coach... Payton is very good but he is clearly a step (maybe 2 or 3) below truly elite coaches like Reid, Belichek etc
@@morgan7025 everyone knows McCarthy is fraudulent dude, that's such an unfair comparison. Sean Payton was regarded the same way that Shannahan is now during the Pats dynasty era. He was GREAT for 15 years, but people are just insanely recency-pilled these days...honestly to the point of being disrespectful imo
@@narddog2151 Payton is better than McCarthy ofc. He also missed the playoffs and went 7-9 3 years in a row with brees as his QB. He's a 'good' coach no more no less. He is not a great/truly elite coach though.
Couldn't the Broncos trade down, still get Nix, and add a 2nd round pick? The Raiders didn't seem interested in Nix and everyone else drafted their QB earlier.

But he needs the roster and I think even if it's not this season, this team is clearly being set up for sustained success in the future.
Overall draft wise:
Bowers is a nightmare who's gonna finish in the top 5 for offensive rookie of the year I think just as a versatile weapon not even a tight end lets kill that position name he's gonna be a thorn in your side and you're sitting here doubling davante and meyers and going well wtf he just torched our linebacker for a 20 yard gain off a screen pass?
JPJ: Big animalistic hard nose badass who's gonna add an element of power to this offense we just haven't had since the Hudson, Brown, Gabe Jackson days a few years ago and I see him as easily the best IOL player in the class
DJ Glaze: Good run blocker with a better anchor in pass pro than I think some give him credit for all he has to do is narrow his hand placement and not bite so hard on outside moves which expose him to finesse rushers cutting back inside for easy pressure but overall as a pass blocker he was one of the highest graded olineman in that sense last year
DRich: Lengthy athletic freak with fluid hips and a guy who's gonna play in this zone heavy get the big play or the tackle fuck the bend dont break shit system that Graham has created while having interior pressure be such a necessity to make the dbs life easier he's gonna thrive and develop quickly into maybe our outside cb1 if he can pick up man coverage concepts better and develop certain instincts to make plays on the ball
Eichenberg: Like TFG said a very high floor potential replacement to Spillaine eventually but for now he's our Sam linebacker he's gonna be a Perryman clone I feel as just this smaller but very instinctual powerful run stopper
Laube: I drafted this dude in like the 3rd round of my dynasty league this year because I feel his upside is Ekler like. He's got a bit of power which is gonna help him run inside if he has to but the after the catch ability and ability to make the catch is immense and he's arguably one of the best recieving backs in the class and I think him and Zamir make a wonderful thunder and lightning combo
Trey Taylor: ideal size at safety, familial ties, good bloodline in the league obviously but I feel military school guys get slept on this guys is uber smart very athletic can be a leader I mean ffs he played for a military team who better to be an eventual leader and possibly a weapon epps replacement?
Your mind is a Football 🏈 computer. Impressive
Jayden is better, way more of a dual threat, but I won't be at all surprised if they both end up pretty meh.
hell yeah i'm already so excited for the deep dives!
LFG - Chiefs on top
Hunter Renfrow isn’t on the Raiders anymore.
The only time when a QB can be a first read would be when you have a stacked team (49ers, Eagles), if you’re Bo Nix , you will suffer being that type of QB on the Broncos
Life would be so much simpler if the Raiders signed Kirk
Fun fact about Kingsley suamataia he is penei sewells cousin
I navigated it as well as I could when talking about it, I feel 😅
It's tough with Payton there and no 2nd round pick.
Let’s gooo
I liked qj and hope he yurns out good but wrs that are that bad their rookie year are rarely good. Even raw ones.
So pumped for the deep-dive series
🙏🙏🙏all hail the goat tfg 🙏🙏🙏
As a raiders fan idk Im way higher on Nix than most people lol
🐐
STOP comparing Jalen hurts to Brock Purdy I’m boutta lose it
If a team gets a perfect scheme-fit, pro-ready QB without having to trade up, a B is a little harsh, no?
Maybe I'm just high on Bo, but I liked him as a prospect better than Penix and JJ already. Going to Payton is the icing on the cake.
He's old af and there are a lot of divided opinions on how good he actually can be. For that matter there are a lot of divided opinions on whether Payton is actually a good coach. So no, a B is perfectly fair and tbh I'd give it a C+ because he was a reach without a doubt.
@@PlaySA I don’t mind if you disagree about a QB prospect, but Sean Payton is a good coach. Period.
That Washington grade is going to age so badly.
No it’s not
here before some data nerd crushes the joe alt pick
Steve Palazollo been defending that pick since the beginning, data nerds are up on Alt
I think qj has a chance. Cant judge these guys after year 1
Raiders Nailed this draft A grade is Perfect 💪🏾🏴☠️
Nobody show this video to my fantasy football opponents I wanna steal Vidal so bad
Couldn't the Broncos trade down, still get Nix, and add a 2nd round pick? The Raiders didn't seem interested in Nix and everyone else drafted their QB earlier.
Finally
No Certified Steal for the Raiders on JPJ?
I had him as a 1-2 grade so not quite.
I think Denvers first 2 picks were BS
Ehh I think Buffalo does better than KC when it comes to finding good day 3 DB starters
Yea, i dont think the packers had the 26th best draft in the NFL. I watched all of your grades, and based on your scale, your final grade for the packers should have been a b to b+, not b-
AFC West always last lmao
Hey bronco fans, just a reminder the last time the broncos beat the Raiders was before covid😂😂😂

Devonshire is better then taylor
