I remember we paid kelechi osemele top dollar to play guard and Rodney Hudson to play center. That oline is the last great oline we ever had. Guards and centers are important.

Sanjit has a bias and a certain amount of experience covering both Oline and Dline, so it can sort of be excused why he'd bring it up for this video in regards to Trey Smith. But the Raiders guards aren't terrible, they're mid if even slightly above average. Their pass pro is good, run blocking is slightly improving too, so it's not really needed to go for a guard compared to a tackle. Kolton's getting older but he's still performing well not that he seems to have put the shoulder surgery behind him, though I think with Joe Philbin as Oline coach since the firing of the three coaches on offense, they have become more consistent in general. Glaze is solid in pass pro and trying to improve in run blocking but he's a rookie so it remains to be seen if he'll be a true starter that can be as good opposite of Kolton or be a level below him. JPJ as LG is great as long as he removes the urges to cause false starts. Meredith as a fill in LG when he was healthy was doing great too. Parham was inconsitent at guard due to injuries earlier in the season but he seems to be doing better now at least.

In essence he was also the reason why JPJ did the early snap in the Chiefs game that led to the loss too. All in all, I do think the Oline has improved once they got the 5 men holding it down and with Philbin taking over as the Oline coach. The Raiders could choose to draft a guard or a tackle in the draft, and they should go for at least one guy for it. But I don't think they're going to invest too heavily for that.

I think the Dline when fully healthy will be really strong if they keep Butler and Koonce. You got Maxx, Wilkins, Butler, Koonce and guys developing to be the future in Chaisson, Laulu, and hopefully Tyree keeps improving too.
When JPJ isn't doing false starts, he's a great left guard. When Meredith took over as LG before he got injured he was doing quite good too. If anything it could be Parham at RG that may need to be replaced.
We haven't invested in any young IOL since Jon Gruden took over. Every year there are 10 guys who go in rounds 3-7 that end up being very good IOL. It's a position that is easy to find if you invest into it.
We aren’t paying a QB,WR or Offensive Lineman any real money right now. We need TWO new starting guards next season and Trey Smith would not only fix a lot of issues along the line but it would give us alot of flexibility draft day. Love Tee Higgins but WRs have been coming fresh out the draft and dominating for years. The OL needs to be addressed no matter who the coach is.

What kind of message are we putting out to the upper echelon of HC candidates that if they don't succeed right away, even with major injury issues like this year, our fans scream fire them. And it tends to happen. Who is wanting to come here and be a HC except the fringe guy, (AP type) who would have no other offers? As it stands next year with our draft position and lack of QB talent next year, it might be the right call to run it back with AP and build the team through draft then see where we are next year.

I feel that Patrick Graham knows that AP days as a HC are done. With that being said, does Graham want to go through another season coaching changes. He went through with the Giants and went through it with the Raiders. I think Sanji is right, I think Graham is seeking more organizational stability over seeking a potential HC job.
The raiders probably can draft a couple of Tackles in the mid rounds and move them to guards. Look for specific measurables and technique and both guard positions can be filled on the cheap with young players with upside. Or maybe you draft early round Tackle and move Kolton inside as he gets older.
We need to get the offensive line solid before anything besides the QB position , we don't need Higgins without top QB ,draft a WR we'll be fine, draft RB ,LB ,CB some line help build this team the right way

Bring on the compensatory draft picks! I like Graham, but there is a reason why he is not an HC, and he has been passed over the past couple of years. People forget his struggles; he deserves the bag, but it's as a DC. I like the niner model - let him walk, and for the next two years, you get an extra 3rd rounder. We will have three 3rd rounders (Adams trade) going into this draft .......makes for a nice package to move up, move down, or load the roster. To this day I still don’t understand all the value people put into WR. Most valuable positions are always gonna be QB, OL, DL In that order

I feel that Patrick Graham knows that AP days as a HC are done. With that being said, does Graham want to go through another season coaching changes. He went through with the Giants and went through it with the Raiders. I think Sanji is right, I think Graham is seeking more organizational stability over seeking a potential HC job.
The raiders probably can draft a couple of Tackles in the mid rounds and move them to guards. Look for specific measurables and technique and both guard positions can be filled on the cheap with young players with upside. Or maybe you draft early round Tackle and move Kolton inside as he gets older.

We need to get the offensive line solid before anything besides the QB position , we don't need Higgins without top QB ,draft a WR we'll be fine, draft RB ,LB ,CB some line help build this team the right way

I’m a fan of Aiden and I’ll probably get a lot of hate but the recent trend is showing that developing your players pay off better than going for the home run at QB. Look at this last batch. Also I’m not a fan of signing WR from other teams. They never seem to workout for us

I like Graham, but there is a reason why he is not an HC, and he has been passed over the past couple of years. People forget his struggles; he deserves the bag, but it's as a DC.
I like the niner model - let him walk, and for the next two years, you get an extra 3rd rounder. We will have three 3rd rounders (Adams trade) going into this draft .......makes for a nice package to move up, move down, or load the roster. I look forward to seeing what Telesco will do with this draft.
Whatever FAs we bring in, we need them to play. Some of these guys get the bag and underwhelm. We need guys that want to win in the draft and FA and not just want to get paid.
We need to invest in a top guard FA and draft a top guard. JPJ is our center going forward. I would look at wr in the 1st or 2nd round . We need to bring back as much of our D players back that we can.

Jalen Milroe is Trey Lance 2.0. Milroe needs to look at changing positions or going to the Rock's NLF's D-league. The Raiders should draft Sanders (likely off the board), Dart, Gabriel. We can pick up Skattebo in the mid to late rounds. Our first and second round should be best available (I'd be happy if we end the draft with either 2 QBs or 2 RBs). Start AOC redshirt our drafted QB and move the world to get Arch Manning whatever year he hits the draft. Manning's backups should be the very good back ups to bridge level players by then.
Don't sign Higgins. Sign Spillane, hobbs and trey smith and draft tmac or a OT even mason graham if he's there
