Oh the joys of the M62, we were once delayed by 4.5 hours whilst heading home by a lady who was sat on a bridge considering ending her life. Thankfully it was a happy ending. Hope you got home ok and thanks for the series of videos.

I was really interested in the lake district. I've toured round there years ago in the car but looking to get down and around there on the bike sometime next year. Emily I will email you and Sean a youtube link to the Muskoka Freerider he travels from Eastern Canada to ride snowmobiles in the Revelstoke area. As you folks are familiar with this part of Canada you might find it eye opening. I really enjoyed your ride in Wales inspite of the rain. I am looking forward to your last leg. My wife Susan and I rode the M62 in our visit to England in 2015. We took a side trip to Harrogate to visit her Uncles grave he was in the RCAF. It was quite a ride for us as we were going to the TT races on the Isle of Man. Good job making the ferry. My wife Susan was like you Emily about being late for the ferry. We had an issue going to Malta what a mess. When we got on the ferry they closed the doors and cast off.

I feel your pain at sitting in the jam at the lorry fire. It took me 15 and a half hours to get from Warrington to Plymouth yesterday due to a lorry fire and then 2 sets of road closures due to road works. 280 miles in 15 hours!!!! 😡
Oh that's bad! Sounds like a nightmare. Problem with lorry fires is they spit out all sorts of stuff onto the road. Would have been gutted if we had missed the ferry!

Because there was a truck very much on fire and the police had closed the road whilst the fire brigade put the fire out and cleaned the road. Those US highways are huge! almost enough room to filter with a car 😉

Used that ferry many times on the bike to Holland and Belgium great food in the prebooked restaurant. The deck certainly can be slippy when wet.

Why do you sit in traffic? I ride a Honda Goldwing and live in U.S but I filter all the time if traffic and never get held up.
Because there was a truck very much on fire and the police had closed the road whilst the fire brigade put the fire out and cleaned the road.
Those US highways are huge! almost enough room to filter with a car 😉
