Thanks mate! The instructors did a great job of getting us up to speed. In fact the whole group did really well, a great bunch of people that laughed when people fell and at the same time helped each other up. Loved every second of it 😊

Hi Jonathan, you must have seen a lot of change in the development of the BMW then, have you ridden mostly boxers? I actually didn't drop it once -although it came close a couple of times lol (maybe I should push a bit harder next time lol) Yeah I kept reminding myself that the bike is capable and that I just needed to trust it! ...seemed to work 😄

I suspect the soon to be released Adventure version will have the 'presence' we are hoping for. However, performance wise the R1300 GS was an absolute joy to ride off road and I couldn't fault it (mostly because I was having so much fun!) It really did inspire confidence in the rider just like the R1250 has.

I can totally recommend it! I went from 'there's no way i can get up that' to not really thinking about it in less than a day. The training was fantastic and although we may never use some of what we did it certainly improved my riding skills. And it was so much fun =)

Hi Garth, yeah totally get that. It's like they have made a great bike to replace an already great bike =) And as you say one needs to keep them for them to be cost effective (as with any vehicle really) especially if you've added bits to them. Cheers! it's amazing the things you can learn at this place in just a couple of days and the potential of these bikes is amazing. Also nice not worrying about damaging your own bike! Em did great! So supportive and the photos she got are fantastic 😎

@@SeanandEmily I did one course few years back with bmw motorad it really helped me when doing some off-road riding,, Bought new mltistrd v4 rlly and will do one more course with Ducati in September 🙂👍

Hi, i can't explain how good this training was!!! It really was fantastic to learn in this environment with professionals teaching us all day for two days! The park is very well designed that it covers everything and in stepped difficulties. It's also great how it's accessible to people of all levels. Personally I don't think it's pricey. For 2 full days training, including use of teh R1300 GS (with nothing to pay if you damage it -unless you are deemed reckless) is 710 Euro which is basically the same as breaking the screen and mirror on your own bike lol. ( I would probably want a 1300 after I tried one, so I won’t try one.. can’t afford a 1300 😂 ) Thanks again! All instructions in German? Nice! The 850 GSA is a great bike! Yeah you can specify which bike you want, a guy used the R1250 as he has the same and it was no problem. Haha yeah sometimes it's best not to look lol 😂 no worries there, there were people from all over Europe so English is also no problem

Hi Ruud! Yeah it really was great! As they instructor said -they have designed the park so it's more extreme than anything you will likely meet on the trips so you have confidence. It really was a confidence boost, knowing what teh machine can do if you trust it and also trying it with the right tires was fantastic! Also great having professionals to tell you what you are doing wrong and how to correct it -the skills learnt in the first hour alone will be helpful forever! I arrived at the park with very little experience, but the teaching from the instructors was really good that in no time I was doing things that I didn't think would be possible so quickly. Seeing those steep inclines with rocks over them was intimidating for sure - I found the best thing was not to think too much and go for it lol. Such an enjoyable weekend and i left smiling and very impressed with the bike. Thanks for watching!

Hi Will, yeah we try and make the most of the time we have so big distances are inevitable 😁. Yeah we had a lot of bad weather in Norway but were so excited to be there it didn’t crush our spirits -good rain gear helps too 😁. We have just finished a 8500km 4 week trip around the UK and had some of the best rides ever! First episodes of this tour will be out next week. Wow 8 euros in Rome is great -unless we’ve been in Switzerland too long 😁. We have noticed though in the last few years prices have shot right up in Western Europe including hotels and restaurants. Fortunately we don’t really drink much when on tour 😁. Yeah plenty of spare wine in France and Spain 🍷 -they would probably go on strike if wine got expensive 😁.
